Texas -3.5
O/u 147.5 o/u

Hopefully we are not too worn out from the Arky game.

I like us to cover or win outright. They have smaller guards who won't provide much resistance. I like our backcourt to torch them.

Texas has a damm good group of guards in Rice, Carr and Hunter. This won't be easy. They also have talented forwards in Allen, Bishop and Disu. Gotta keep them from getting out in transition as that's where they really excel. Should be a dogfight. Can't be I've cold from the field tonight

Agreed. What I meant, is their guards don't have the length that Arkansas had which gave us fits. UT will test our transition D which has been our weakness all year.

Agree they aren't long at the guard. Hunter is solid defender. Carr however, Is not. If we can limit them in transition I like our chances. We can't have any long offensive lulls tonight though. Another 1-18 stretch and we're doomed because Texas is much better offensively than Arky

Hopefully Drew won't be adverse to liberally mixing in some zone defense like he did against Arky if and when they're carving up our man D or beating us down the floor in transition. Using zone, particularly in the second half, was big key to our "W" last Saturday.

This team struggles with long guards on the offensive end and quick guards on the defensive end.

The good thing is we can stay in front of most long guards defensively and score on most small/quick guards.

It's kind of a give and take with this bunch. The strengths/weaknesses on the offensive and defensive ends line up in a way that we should stay in most games, if healthy. Unfortunately, they also mean we'll keep our opponent in most games.

Agree. I'm not wanting to see any more full court pressure either. Hustle back and make the opponent beat us in the half court.
