Not very surprising.
Pretty much what I expected (the winner, not the margin).

I didn't watch the game but for the people that did was it fun to watch a total of 71 free throws attempted?

No doubt it would, but as it currently stands with half the conference schedule still to play, the season championship is very much up for grabs for all of the B12 's top 6 teams which includes us.

It is, but with games remaining at Kansas, Kansas State and TCU, we've got our work cut out for us.

Agree. It's at least somewhat of a long shot and if we get it done we'll prolly be sharing the title with one or more other teams - but it is still doable if we start and maintain a new winning streak beginning this coming Saturday.

We just need to up our game and we can do it.

It's that bald fool I can't stand Kip Kissinger..he's the one who almost ejected Drew last year in Lawrence on a horrible non call on Matthew Mayer..and T'd up Self in Waco last week and Self wasn't even doing anything.

Agree with this take. Higgins is not intimidated by anything. The bald dude made some horrible calls last night. Keyontae Johnson had two fouls the first 4 minutes. Still, Ku played with confidence, speed, and moxie last night and was clearly the better team. If they sweep @ISU and Texas, I can't see them being dethroned.

Some of the officials referee games for multiple conferences. In a recent game (@ Texas?), espn even put Higgins's schedule on the screen to show his busy he was. It included Big 10, SEC, & maybe others, IIRC.

Yeah it was all over the map.. from Morgantown..to.. Florida..to Stanford..to Kansas..then Austin..all in 7 days

There are very few officials who work 1 conference only. The majority work anywhere from 2-4 conferences. Actually, there aren't that many college basketball officials overall, which is why they work different conferences.

As a rule, I don't really get too worked up about officiating. Ninety-nine times out of 100, the team that executes the best wins. If we're having to blame the refs for a loss, we didn't play well enough.

I don't mind making a big deal out of that one out of 100 -- ie. the Quincy Acy charge call against Duke in the Elite Eight -- but those instances are really rare.
