Baylor has now played 10 games against top 20 competition and still has games against ISU, KU, UT, and KSU. That has to be at or around the top of the country in SOS. I will leave it to those of you who regularly post about this to elaborate.

I've seen it ranked between 7th and 12th by various basketball metrics. Incredibly difficult schedule for everyone in the Big 12.

Huggins offended a lot of West Coast people early in the Fall when he said Gonzaga would get a wakeup call if they joined the Big 12. As with most things by the media, his comments were taken out of context. He never said they couldn't compete in the Big 12, just that it's a whole different world when you play ranked team after ranked team in conference play for 2 months with no nights off. The Zags, of course, try to make up for it by having a bruising non-conference schedule, but then basically go dormant (to no fault of their own) for a couple of months in the WCC with the exception of Saint Mary's from time to time.

Remember this team started the first week ranked #5.

I will say it now. I wholly expect baylor to win 5 of its 6 final regular season games and finish the season in the top 10. I give a 50/50 shot at ku and hosting ut with a W in one of those games. The rest of the teams on the schedule are entirely winnable games.

Baylor is a lock 3 seed and likely a 2 seed at tip of the tourney.

There are 6 teams with a better than .500 record in conference. We play all of the other 5 teams down the stretch. 4-2 would be a good finish, and still likely gets us a 3 seed. Our defense in the lane is problematic, but we will be a very dangerous team for anyone to face in the tourney.
