Bears now projected as #2 in South Regional (Alabama #1)

Kansas moved to a 1-seed (East Regional) and Texas a 2-seed (Midwest Regional).

We are the only Big 12 team NOT in a regional with another Big 12 team. (Three are in East Regional with Kansas.)

We are trending in the right direction for sure, unless we play into a 1 seed by winning Big 12 reg season and/or tourney, I think we will be under seeded, we're that good! For me, it's about matchups and who might be in our regional.

Lunardi is GREAT at getting the teams in the field right, GOOD at getting the seeds correct, but not really good at all in placing teams in regionals...there are some good bracket rules that will protect the Big 12 for a few rounds, but I think we could, with the right matchups, get 6 in the S16.

That's one thing I dislike about these bracket projections: unequal distribution of a conference's teams. If the Big 12 gets 8 teams into the tourney, I would expect 2 for each region.

Well I like the placement of Baylor in the Denver regionals. I have tickets to all of the first weekend games in Denver.

Projected seeds don't matter much but Lunardi just said if we beat KU Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse, we would essentially swap places with KU on the 1 seed line in his bracket. Still a lot of regular season and conference tournament games to go though obviously.

Ive been super tied up with my own kids sports so I seem to have missed something.

How is Alabama #1? They dont even make the top 10 in the Big 12...

Tap the brakes there .. they are an Uber talented team that could win it all .but they're super young so that explains their hiccups.

They have the best win of anyone this year.. winning at Houston.

Yes .but our last place team would be middle of the pack in other conferences..

You can't compare OU to last place teams in other conferences like Tulsa or Georgetown..those are bad teams..OU isn't..as we witnessed last night knocking off #17

As Jay Billas has said multiple times, the Big 12 has no bottom. It's only too & middle. That's how one should compare us to other conferences. We still may get 8 teams in the tournament.

That's my point.

There is no clear front #1 and or #2 this year. There is more parity across college basketball this year than in a long time. Any one of the current top 10 could make a run and win the whole damn thing.
