If this info is used for seeding then the Big 12 will have at least 8 teams in the tourney. We could possibly get 9 or 10 which is amazing, although I don't expect it.

8 is the max B12 gets in. Wins still matter and OU is like 14-16 hardly ncaa worthy. Tech has a garbage conference record and beat no one worth a crap in the OOC. And OSU has a ton of bad losses. They have to win at Tech Saturday

Just have to ask since im not a stats guy. Does all this really translate when it matters (in play)? I get for seeding purposes its hella important. However, for a few years Ive heard how dominant this big12 is top to bottom, but outside of the national champ do these teams really dominate the torney year after year? Im not saying the bu ku teams since 2020 dont matter. Im saying it almost feels like the mbb equivalent of fb in the sec. 2 dominant teams and the rest are good but win 50% of bowl games. I dont see a ton of b12 teams in the elite 8 or sweet 16 year after year.

Was rooting for OSU to play its way in as I'm a Boynton fan. Think he may lose his job if they miss out on the dance. But they've really struggled down the stretch without Avery Anderson

All valid points. I think 7-8 is realistic but the numbers are there.

Excellent point. IIRC, last year the Pac 12 as a whole looked better with 4 teams in the Sweet 16.
