Who was a superstar on that Heat team?

Bosh was overrated and Wade was clearly on the decline. What made that team super?

Lebron came to Cleveland with a young Kyrie and helped him become what he is today and they got Love in a trade for a young star in Wiggins. So what made the Cavs super?

Pretty hypocritical of you also Fozzie. Didn't you say Boston was the clear favorite to land Davis? Wouldn't that make Boston a Superteam?

Wade was in his prime the first several years of Lebron in Miami. He was a superstar.
Boston is going to be a Super team without Davis. The Celtics have high end young talent with more assets coming. They will have developed 3 stars internally by the time Davis hits free agency in 3 years after this season.

Wade was definitely not in his prime. He played at a high level at times but no where near the superstar Wade. If he was superstar Wade then Miami wins 4 in a row.

Do you have any analysis of the big game tonight when the top 2 teams in the Eastern Conference face off?

Will be great to welcom Avery Bradley back to TD Garden.

Lol "Top 2" team, but Cleveland is 2-0 against both.

Roughneck, unlike 254 I like to look at the overall standings as to who the top 2 teams in the East are as I know you do as well. I personally think Toronto is the second best team in the East but the standings say Celtics and Pistons and I will accept the actual standings as factual.

I am very intrigued by tonight's match-up. Boston is favored by almost 7 points but I have been impressed by Detroit's grit in obtaining road wins at Minnesota and OKC. Tobias Harris is becoming a star in this league and if you look up the word double double in the dictionary there is a pic of Andre Drummond next to it.

I expect a tough game based on Avery's homecoming and wanting to stick it to his former team, but the Celtics will prevail and continue to control the East.

Unlike Fozzie. I like to look at teams that are just flat out better and not because they have a winning record through about 20 games.

Cleveland is still one, dont let the records fool you man. Toronto couldnt touch Cleveland in the playoffs last year and they haven't gotten any better.

but you two have fun with this horrible review yall have going lmao.

So apparently you put more stock in (1) last year's Cleveland team easily handling last year's Celtics team . . . which we all know is completely different than this year's Celtics team and in (2) this year's Cleveland team barely squeaking by an entirely new Celtics team at home . . . even though the Celtics team suffered a devastating injury to its key player at the beginning of the game and even though the Celtics team was a collection of guys that hadn't even played together before the start of the season.

I at least try to be objective. Don't get me wrong - Cleveland has the potential to win the Eastern Conference playoffs, but the landscape has changed. If you don't want to acknowledge that, that's your business. If the Celtics continue to improve and just stay healthy, I think they will be the favorites.

Fozzie, the Raptors can't win the big one as long as they are reliant on production from Forrest Whittaker down the stretch.

I am kidding. Forrest Whitaker does not actually play for the Raptors. That's CJ Miles.

I think you are correct to note that the Raptors are a dark horse to push the Pistons and Celtics at the top of the Standings. I am sure I am telling you things you already know, but the Raptors have played more road games thus far than any other team in the East except the Celtics. So I look for both squads to continue to surge as the schedule balances out.

Will they bump the Pistons for #2? Will be fun to follow.

The problem with buying Cleveland as one of the top teams is you have to reconcile the fact that they're currently on a 7 game winning streak and were 2 games below .500 as recently as 2 weeks ago. With their lack of depth and number of minutes LeBron and Love will have to play, they'll drift back toward league average as the year goes along. Clearly fools gold.

Like Boston, Cleveland is working in a lot of new pieces and dealing with injuries. For whatever reason, the transition hasn't been as seamless. That being said, Lebron led teams have a history of not playing great basketball early in the regular season, especially when the two previous factors are present. Mid to late 2000's Cleveland teams featuring Lebron were winning 65 games and getting bounced in the EC semis and and ECF. As a guy who has been the the finals 7 straight times and 8 total over his career, I think Lebron has learned not to put too much stock into the regular season, particularly in the perennially weaker eastern conference.

To say that Cleveland will "drift back toward league average" as the season progresses while knowing their starting and back up PG's are out with injury along with Thompson is just silly. The team will continue to gel, guys will get comfortable playing together and clueless Ty Lue may even figure out a stable rotation that doesn't include Lebron playing 40 minutes a game. As they get healthier, they will improve and they'll more than likely be right where Bron wants them to be rolling into the playoffs. That's what he has done year in and year. Crowder was off to a slow start and is finally finding a rhythm, same with JR. Wade and Love both had to adjust to different roles than they were used to and they both seem to be figuring that out. Cleveland has learned how to run effective and efficient 4th quarter offense through Korver to great success. This team will continue to get better and still has more top to bottom (proven) talent than any other roster in the East. That's why no one outside of delusional message board Cleveland haters was worried about the rocky start. Absolutely every analyst and head coach in the league who commented on it said, "Don't worry. They'll figure it out."

What is definitely true is that Boston looks like the strongest opposition to Lebron's dominance the east has seen in quite some time. Washington, Indiana, Atlanta, and Toronto have all tried to play that role in recent years past and they still got steamrolled. Boston looks the part and hopefully we get to find out in the playoffs.

Man I'm going to be real with you guys...

Boston with Hayward would've taken a healthy, full chemistry Cavs team to only 5-6 games. The playoffs is just a entire new landscape, and the Cavs and Lebron know how to win during that time.

The Cavs will get Thomas back who's job was actually harder in Boston, now he comes to the Cavs where he won't be doubled or trippled team at all because of who? Lebron

Also there has been rumors that the Cavs could potentially get Deandre Jordan for Thompson...Man. Deandre Jordan on the same team as Lebron, giving the Cavs the rim protector they need will just lower everyone else's chances in the East.

I respect what the celtics have been able to do. I really do. But I cannot see anyone in the East beating a healthy Cavs team with full chemistry, and the potential addition of Deandre Jordan.

Cleveland actually has pretty good depth. And if I'm being honest, Clevelands second unit of Wade, Korver, Green, Frye have come up big in games.

Amazing that the Cavs are on a 7 game win streak and can't get any love like the Celtics did lol. But it's all about the playoffs.

good call on that showdown with Detroit Roughneck. They may be the 2nd best team in the East. Impressive win for them in the Garden. Avery Bradley had an off shooting night but Drummond was unstoppable (26/22) and Tobias Harris is becoming a star (31/8). He got his 31 on 16 shots unlike LeBron having to take 22 shots to get his 30.

LeBron is a top 5 player. I was just kidding about that. When healthy, I would go.

1. Greak Freak
2. Kahwi
3. Durantula
4. LeBron
5. Unibrow

Embiid is working his way into the conversation. I always gravitate towards the bigger guys. I have no use for small guards in this convo, Curry, Irving, Harden, Paul are all nice players but this is a big man's game.

Cleveland beat that juggernaut pistons team by 30 in Detroit one week ago. Lol at Lebron as the fourth best player in the league. He's 2-0 this season against your number one and averaging better numbers across the board.

You're either a troll or have some of the dumbest basketball opinions on the planet. I'm hoping for your sake your're just a troll.

LeBron is leading the league in Player Efficiency Rating and shooting a career best 58% from the floor. But don't let facts get in the way of some good old fashioned LeBron hating. Perhaps you should move Tobias Harris into your top 5.

Greak Freak even said himself he isn't on Lebrons level.
Kawhai isn't near Lebrons level, defensively yes. All around player, no.
KD had a great Finals and was unguardable, but also look who he had around him to make the game easier and Lebron was still a level above him.
AD is always injured and nowhere near Lebrons level.

No matter how people flip it, Lebron is the best player in this era and will be for a long time. Dude is just unfair and he's getting better. How does a guy get better and better in Year 15?

I don't follow the NBA with a microscope but your post made me think the Cavs had overtaken the Celtics in the standings or something. Still 3.5 back with the Raptors nipping at the Cavs heels.

Nice 12 game winning streak for the Cavs though. The Cavs have such an easy schedule until Christmas.

You don't follow NBA, but when the Cavs were losing you were posting daily. Spare me the bs please lol.

Yea, similar to the schedule the Celtics had when they went on their win streak.

You win the games you're supposed to win. When the Cavs lost to those teams you flamed them, when they beat those teams, you brush it off lol.

You mean to tell me after the Celtics "impressive" win streak, they were only able to get an "incredible" 3.5 game lead on the Cavs lol?

I remember this play and thinking that was a bad travel. Even our play by play guys called it out. As a league pass subscriber, I hear lot's of the local broadcasts and most of them wont ever admit when bad calls go their way. However, they did show a baseline replay that showed Ben Simmons hitting the ball. It was barely jarred loose giving Lebron the extra step to score without it technically being a travel. That being said, like all NBA superstars, he has gotten away with plenty of travels in his 15 years.

Obviously I root really hard for Prince to be successful, even when playing against the Cavs, but that was one of the hardest blocks I've ever seen. It reminded me of a really dominant outside hitter in college volleyball hitting a ten footer. Just pounded it straight down into the floor.

He straight up embarrassed him on that block, then proceeded to locked up Dennis S.

Can Lebron get some love for locking down some really good players this year? Blake Grffin, Porzingas of the many names.

Also, they said Lebron didn't have that killer mentality lol, y'all sure still?

Lebron is the MVP!
Fozzie

James Hardin is the MVP. 32 ppg and 9 assists. LeBron is yesterday's news. Nice little winning streak but Boston will win the East. Book it.
BaylorBears_254
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Harden is nowhere near Lebrons level lol. Harden is averaging 32 and he takes about 15 free throws and 20+ shots to get it lol.

please tell me can Harden switch on the other teams best player in crunch time and lock them down? No. Can Harden do what Lebron does? The answer is No.

Boston may win the east in the "regular season", but in the playoffs it's an entire new ball game and the Cavs will win it. BOOK THAT!
