Celtics fans have to be giddy about the future. Get everyone healthy for next year and then possibly add a nice role player off the bench like Lebron? Watch out!

We all know where Fozzie has his finger and it isn't on the pulse of the NBA. And yes, the Celtics without Kyrie, Hayward, and Brown are better than the Cavs without LeBron.

Excited for the game tonight. Certainly hoping Lue keeps that same starting lineup from game 7. Pacers killed us on the boards and in pick and roll and it took until game 7 for Lue to finally insert Tristan Thompson who rebounds and defends the pick and roll at an elite level. He might be the worst coach in the entire NBA. On the flip side, Stevens is probably the second best coach in the NBA after Pop. That's the reason the Celtics are better without their stars than the Cavs would be without Bron.

I expect this Cavs Raps series for Cleveland to look much better. That Pacers team is a bad match up for us. We don't have a single player who can guard Oladipo consistently and Thad Young is the perfect counter for Love. He big, physical, strong, and he can guard Love at perimeter and in the post. Kevin Love thrives from a finesse offensive style where he usually draws a mismatch in either the post or on the perimeter. He notoriously wilts when guys get physical with him. Thad Young is the exact guy you want defending him.

LeBron and Lue have seen this Raps teams in the playoffs for several years straight. I really like Lowry, but he disappears for long stretches in the playoffs every year. Derozen is great but we have several guys on the roster who can defend him well, most notably LeBron, JR, and Jeff Green. I wouldn't be surprised to see Green's minutes go up substantially in this series because he has the athleticism to guard Derozen and the length to make those mid-range shots a lot more challenging.

Impressive performance from the Celtics last night. Winning game 1 is always a huge step towards winning any series. I'm rooting for the Celtics because I think everyone on this thread wants to see a Cavs Celtics matchup to settle 14 pages of banter.

Interesting tidbit about Lebron. Lebron is closing in on one of Kobe's records. He's within 100 of Kobe's record for most missed shots in playoff history. If the Cavs make the finals, he should move into first place.

Also interesting tigbit, Bron is within 9 Triple Doubles of Magic to become the all time Triple Double leader in the playoffs

As I predicted earlier in the thread, Jeff Green gave the Cavs some awesome minutes and played exceptionally well. He led the team in +/-. JR and Korver were great as well. More evidence Ty Lue doesn't have a clue as we once again got dominated in the third quarter. Tristan was again stellar but for some reason barely saw the court in the first and third quarters when the Raptors made their run. Valenciunas finished with 21 and 21, largely because Lue left Tristan on the bench and Kevin Love can't guard true centers. Nance inexplicably saw 0 minutes.

It looks like the Monstars stole Kevin Love's basketball talent for a rematch with Jordan and the Toon Squad. He looks lost and like suddenly these playoff moments are too big for him. I don't know if it is in his head or what, but he missed multiple uncontested layups, committed terrible fouls, and at one point went to grab a rebound, with no one around him, and the ball squirted out of his hands and out of bounds.

LeBron looked like garbage for much of the game. He was obviously gassed from the first round and settled for lots jumpers when his shot was clearly off by a mile. His decision making down the stretch in both the fourth quarter and overtime was really questionable. Bad news for the Raptors when a tired Cavs team comes into your building for game one, you're well rested and get a monster game from Valenciunas, and LeBron has an off night and you still lose.

Just like I said about the Celtics win, winning game one is pivotal in winning any playoff series.

Cavs have now won 7 of their last 8 games against these Raptors.

East is still least. Lebron will mow through to the Finals.
Philly is about as green as you get in the playoffs.
Ainge and Stevens have a great long term plan but the injuries will catch up to them against an experienced playoff team. Cleveland won't be screwing up and turning the ball over down the stretch with Lebron handling the ball.

I noticed on an ESPN page that Lebron needs 40 3-pointers to surpass Ray Allen as the all time leader in playoff three pointers.

However, he probably won't hold the record long because Steph is only 20 behind him.

Well, Lebron isn't a shooter, so the accomplishment is actually appealing.

Also, considering Steph is the greatest shooter in NBA history, I'm not surprised lol.
