I know what you mean but, to be honest, he has shown flashes off and on all season. Unfortunately that was mostly off. But if this gets him started for the tournament he could make a difference, especially if everyone else feeds off if it.

My biggest complaint with him all year is just that. He's not mentally at the level yet to understand the value of possessions. Still in that AAU/High School mode. Not that he's any different than any other freshman. It just is what it is.

You just got a perfect example.

The dude got a pass with 16 seconds on the shot clock and jacked up a contested/unbalanced shot like the clock was at one.

He's just not a smart player. No awareness whatsoever.

Yep. Game IQ means more than talent in the tournament. There is absolutely nothing worse than horrendous turnovers. And George makes way too many.
