As far as Walter and Little, I don't have enough of a read on them to say yet, although Walter in particular has a rep as all-action defensively. Of those returners Bonner is the only one on that list I'd rate as above average defensively, and it's not like he's Gary Payton either. As long as he's good being a 6th man (at best) here I'd love to keep him, I'm just not sure if that's what he wants. Offensively he's just not there.
And yes, Cryer definitely last on that list. We might as well roll out a tackling dummy after he hits his 3.
If Bonner could perform at the level he played the last six games offensively, he'd be fine as the No. 3 or 4 guard.
From the Texas game on, he averaged 8.5 points on .571/.583/.706 shooting with 2.5 assists, 1.2 turnovers and 1.2 steals in 24.2 minutes. Those averages would play all day every day in a third guard or sixth man role.
When Dale plays with confidence as he did down the stretch, he's got enough offense to be a legitimate contributor to a good Big 12 team. I'd love to see him do so for an entire season.
