23. Baylor
This year's Baylor never quite reached its full potential, but still finished in the top three of the Big 12 and earned a No. 3 seed. This season's star backcourt of Keyonte George, Adam Flagler and L.J. Cryer is set to depart, freshmen Miro Little and Ja'Kobe Walter should be impact players earlier in their Baylor tenure. Sophomore big Josh Ojianwuna showed promise coming off the bench at center. Fixing a defense that finished outside the top 100 nationally per KenPom should be this offseason's primary focus.

ESPN's Too Early Top 25:

20. Baylor Bears

Scott Drew's perimeter group will be completely rebuilt next season, with Keyonte George entering the NBA draft, Adam Flagler's future uncertain and LJ Cryer entering the transfer portal. Freshmen Ja'Kobe Walter and Miro Little will have to push for minutes immediately. Then there's Langston Love to run the show. Jalen Bridges is also ready for a bigger role upfront.

Projected starting lineup:
Langston Love (6.3 PPG)
Miro Little (No. 33 in ESPN 100)
Ja'Kobe Walter (No. 14 in ESPN 100)
Jalen Bridges (10.3 PPG)
Josh Ojianwuna (4.2 PPG)

It's hard to envision that being a top-20 starting lineup, but I'll reserve judgement until after we've completed our roster and I've seen the newcomers play against high major college competition.

Hard to imagine Josh starting over JTT. I can see him getting more minutes at the end of the year, but not starting at the beginning of the year.

These are terrible rankings but it gets looks. That projected starting line up for us isn't happening.. and if true 3 guys with practically no experience and another coming off their first real offseason (Love) is a top 20 team then cbb is beyond weak.

Interesting to project but nothing more. With the current rosters before portal, the conference is really mediocre as all the major teams are completely revamping and the returning talent just isn't that good. Sure it will look completely different soon enough but the team can't (and probably won't) put that starting lineup on the court in major D1 ball. Many of the other teams in conference will have to pick up a multiple players too to be anywhere near high level.

Thamba started over JTT. Maybe JTT is just better suited coming off the bench and adding a spark.

That being said. This is some sports writer stabbing in the dark. Less accurate than Wikipedia.

Have to trust CSD. It's not like he was completely unaware Cryer was gonna leave LMAO. They have multiple targets to fill his spot.

Will our incoming freshmen be on campus this summer to work out with the rest of the team or will everyone be scattered to the 4 winds unti school starts?

Pretty sure last year's preseason way-too-early number one was North Carolina. And that last year's actual preseason #1 was North Carolina.

We have 2 roster spots to fill and until that happens our team, and most teams, can't be judged.

So I guess we shouldn't talk about anything until the final game of the season.
