NIL money in mbb appears to be focused largely on the upperclassmen and senior transfers--players who may or may not be good enough for the nba but are really solid college players. One reason for this is the Freshman projected to go in top 10 in the next NBA draft are a few months from $20mm guaranted+...a kid in that position may like a little NIL spending money, but is better off working on his basketball development and enjoying his one year of College. On the other hand, the $1.3mm for a wbb player is more than she will get in 3 years in WNBA.Jacques Strap said:
If LSU paid 1.3mm for a player on their women's team how much will this guy cost for one season?

Tre Johnson, the No. 1 player in the 2024 class, tells KSR he likes what he's hearing from Kentucky so far.

"They have a record for sending guys to the league. And that’s the end goal for me, so that’s something that sticks out."https://t.co/q4BL2tX6FX
Personally I would support a league that stays amateur or puts in a NIL cap. $50 Million NIL teams versus $500,000 teams is not competition. It's just dumb.GruntTuff said:
I'd love to be wrong, but won't he go to where the most money is offered? I hope I'm wrong.
Its eems pretty clear when the Baylor AD is willing to discuss it in public. NIL, unless something is done, will creat two distinct levels in college sports. Maybe that's ok. Money has always talked....ask Coach Teaff. Now at least it's in the open and it's not necessary to lie.
Maybe it's time to let Kentucky and Kansas and a few others to play each other about 10 times a year in basketball and Alabama and Georgia and a few others to do the same in football. The rest of us can have fun.
