Let's go, yves missi is reclassifying will be with us this year. He finishes at number 11 on the ESPN 100.

I'm bracing myself for 50%+ roster turnover every year. Either one and done to NBA or leaving for NIL $$.

We could play JTT at forward as well as center. He has a good shot and handles the ball well. Rebounds would go way up.
Thanks. That's what I thought. I still will hold out some hope that he might return. I would expect him to get better if he did. I also realize it's probably a dream. OTOH, if NBA scouts are giving him positive feedback he probably should go. No one expects him to be this year's Sochan but if he has a real chance of getting drafted early with a nice signing bonus he definitely should shoot for the stars.

We are all eager to see it but I don't seriously expect it to be finalized for awhile. After the draft we will have a better idea. We may not see a final roster until September or October, though.

I real possibility but I hope not! I think Drew's culture of J.O.Y. can change some of that dynamic. Our coaches seek out players based upon character as well as talent. Now that Drew is a proven commodity, wise athletes will be attracted to the program. It's also no accident that recruits who come to visit are photographed with a certain trophy from April 5, 2021.

If a miracle turn of Flag doesn't happen.. we are going to be wildly young. So we will have the most raw talented roster by far (after Tex losing their top 2 guys) with the reclassification but will be going up against proven 23 yr olds. We need another transfer or two. If somehow Flag and Bridges come back we only need one.
I think it's wishful thinking to assume EJ will ever be half the player he once was. If he returns his role would be maybe 15 minutes as a backup 5 and a mentor for Missi and Josh O. If Bridges doesn't return we will need a portal forward who can contribute immediately. I'm confident CSD already has contingency plans in place. But we REALLY need Bridges back.
We could play a four-guard lineup so no concerns with the forward spots. Since there is no substitute for experience, the freshman will have to be really talented for us to make a serious run.

I know what you mean, but I don't equate leaving for NIL $ as necessarily an indictment on anyone's character. Since they were in middle school they have been dreaming of making $ playing basketball. For someone like Cryer with no shot at an NBA career, I can't fault them for getting what $ they can under the current system.historian said:Crawfoso1973 said:

I was speaking strictly about recruits, not Cryer or anyone else who leaves for any reason. I'm disappointed that he's gone but wish him the best, except when they play Baylor. Same with Coach Tang, Coach McGuire, etc. I think Cryer's character was already established when he came to Baylor & played multiple seasons.
