I don't men WVU, or the state, I mean the media in general. I typically don't like the word "woke" but the use of offensive targeted language happens, right or wrong all the time, but some is more punishable and that is what I have a problem with. Riley Gaines; swimmer from U of Kentucky speaking against biological males swimming in her sport, was struck in the head by a trans activist and there little to no coverage on the major networks. There is a different rule book when it comes to certain groups. I don't agree with what he said. It's not a word I use. I think it goes against the principles of human decency to be sure. My point is we probably would have known Huggins to be a bigot before he reached the age of 69 in a high profile profession. He participated in locker room talk on the air and should face repercussions for it, but is it an indication that is a bigot? If so, I would imagine this will be the lever to have others come out to talk about his past behavior. I guess my point ultimately that this was not a fireable offense, but other might disagree, and that's cool. We are allowed our opinions.
