Life is far too short to worry what private parts other people like to play with. Unless we're talking about something illegal or nonconsensual, people should mind their own damn business and live/worry about their own lives.

Christian piety, which porn viewership statistics show is largely a public display rarely practiced in private settings, needs to stop being used as a weapon against those that don't subscribe to the same beliefs. Odds are very strong we'll all be worm food and little more once our hearts stop beating. There's no good reason to make others' time here miserable for the blink of an eye we both share.

As for the topic of this thread, this is complete and utter horse ***** I'm glad to see that Locked On is getting the backlash it richly deserves for pulling this nonsense. It would have been one thing if Neighbors was condoning or agreeing with Huggins, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving the full context of what was said, so listeners/viewers can make up their own minds about a quote.

That so many Christians believe the only thing separating one from total depravity is a carrot (heaven) or a stick (hell) only makes it more likely that religion was a man-made creation to keep those who need it from flying off the rails.

The golden rule is a very pragmatic concept that serves as a perfectly reasonable guiding principle with or without a belief in God.

It's also possible to be at peace with a reality in which we live, we die, we cease to exist. I'm not going to pretend to know what happens when we die or suggest it's impossible that we all have an everlasting soul. But logic and experience tell me that's likely wishful thinking for those who can't bear the thought of true and final death. And given that none of us truly know what (if anything) lies beyond the grave, I wish everyone would act with a little less certitude when judging the choices and actions of others.

If Christians are right, God can sort out the afterlives of unbelievers. If they're wrong, the worst among them have made a lot of people's temporal existence hell on earth.
