No joke, we added great size at guard and lost a really weak defender and a freshman who was very inconsistent and lacked defensive conditioning. Love and Jon (especially) were physically limited.

We upgraded the athleticism, size, and the mentality at guard in a very big way. Only question will be the offensive punch but coaching and development should work that out.

Nunn is going to be a very good defender as is Grimes (heard positive things). Walter is also a plus defender already with great size. All three of those would have been the most athletic player on the roster last year and the most intense defensively. Love with a year of recovery should improve a lot on that end as well. Only ? is Dennis who has a great wingspan and sounds a very veteran type presense. Would expect at minimum a 70 spot jump on D.

Walter, Dennis, and Bridges are all conference quality. I expect one other to break out next year so I think we probably have 4 just don't know the fourth.

I know on freshman yes but Walter is one of the 3 most talented players in the big 12 next year. Will that play out on the court.. we'll see. But his game is more within himself than George even though his offensive upside isn't as high.

But the point is a good one.. we don't have one blow your mind guy unless Walter overperforms. We have a team that will really wear other teams out. I suspect they will be in the mix come conference once the staff gets the flow and rotations down.

This team is going to have grit, that is what we lacked last year. I don't see a Marquette type game happening. There will be some offensive growing pains, but I am as excited about this team as 21. Well balanced and hungry.

My big 3 is also Bridges, Dennis, Walter. Nunn and Missi are my dark horses.
