They are going to be so much fun to watch! I hope this means a good solid run during March Madness.

Team better equipped for a deep run, deeper and more versatile team especially on the defensive end. I am as excited about this team as Natty year. Hopefully similar result :

The Championship team was not only very experienced, but every player in the rotation had attended Baylor the year before (which means they played together a lot). This team may or may not be more talented, but they will not be more experienced. They were also healthy.

Lot's of reasons for optimism and with health and a little bit of luck this team could do it.

No doubt we are obviously not as cohesive or experienced as that Natty season but the playing field is even across the entire college hoops landscape no teams will be able to follow the get old / stay old model following all the current NIL madness. Rosters churning every year the teams who can reload, adjust, and coach 'em up will be making deep tourney runs.

CSD has done a tremendous job of roster management.

Lots of schools cannot say the same

I beg to differ on the "healthy" part: besides serious COVID issues resulting in multiple cancellations, not playing a full Big 12 schedule, & two long pauses without games or practices (one for 3 weeks), they had other issues. Now, if you mean injuries that kept several players out of multiple games as happened in 2022 & to a lesser extent in 2023, then yes they were healthy.

You are spot on with the rest of your statement. We were very blessed with that group of young men. I think several of them had actually been with us 3 years with red shirts. They didn't play in games, but they practiced with the team & that was crucial to their group development.

Thankfully Drew has had significant success doing those things.
