I honestly do not know a whole lot about the University of Arizona but I do remember this: They came to Waco to play men's basketball on December 7, 2019. The game was at the exact same time as the big 12 football title game in Arlington. I was only able to watch the game after the fact because I was in Arlington for the football game but during the game part of the football game were shown on the big screen at the Ferrell Center in the opposing fans were cheering for Oklahoma. What is the saying Baylor fans were not happy! We decisively defeated them.

A year earlier we traveled to Tucson to play them in men's basketball and we beat them on their own court ending a very long ooc home winning streak. Mark Vital by himself had more offensive rebounds than their entire team!

Lute Olsen accomplished for Arizona MBB what Bill Snyder did for K-State FB, taking over dormant programs and creating monster teams and fan support that carried on well past their tenure.

Both left the University of Iowa to become legends elsewhere.

Sufficed to say that the Garport will be the smallest basketball venue in the conference.

Now that Arizona is all but a done deal and ASU May be on the way too… I'd like to see us get the B12 tourney out in PHX.

Too far for east coast teams. With the expanse of the new Big 12, a central location is even more important.

I would hope that the championship site would rotate to keep east and west engaged.

Disagree. They're not traveling by bus.

The Fertitta Center at UH will have that title. Seats 7100. Like Moody Coliseum, they lessened capacity with the renovation.

Actually TCU's arena brings up the rear in seating capacity at 6800 (downsized from the 8500 capacity of the old Daniel Meyer Colliseum when it was rebuilt).

That's a hard place to watch a game. Hurts the eyes

TCU basketball court is akin to the Boise State football field... your first thought when watching is, "Am I going blind?"

I've never been there, but the TCU court is not as bad on the eyes as Oregon's. That is just plain horrid. I also hate watching games in Stillwater because of the crazy camera angles. It's like watching an entire football game from the blimp.

TCU's court is bad, but I agree Oregon's court takes the prize for the most hideous college bball court in the country. It's right up there with Boise State's awful blue field in football.

The court that bothers me is Oregon.

I'm no Fan of Oregons either.

I've been to the "Frog Hop" or whatever they call it. That TCU court looks better in person than on TV. The contrast is somehow better in person. I suspect the same may be true for Oregon as well, but I'll probably never find out.
