Hate for the Zags? Really?

If you want a west coast team, I bet our new Pac 12 friends would probably bump UCLA above them.

Yeah, aside from a few people here and a few other randos on reddit or elsewhere on the internet, I don't really see much hate for Gonzaga. And has anyone even given Michigan basketball a second thought - or a first thought, for that matter - in the last decade? I mean I guess there's a lot of tosu boosters, but not sure that's enough to do it on its own.

These are the most hated because for the past ten years and much more they have had the most success.

Kind of sad we didn't make that list.

You can always tell who the closet Gonzaga fans are on this board.

In 2021 all sorts of random college basketball fans were overjoyed when we smoked Gonzaga because people were tired of hearing how great they were.

Gonzaga is absolutely not a blue blood, but they are hated for the same reason that Duke is hated.
A really good College basketball program with a preppy, suburban type of persona.

This is probably quite literally the only time Spokane has been called "preppy" or "suburban"

I'm referring to the Gonzaga players....not the city of Spokane.

When people refer to the Dukies has being a team full of preps....they are not referring to the city of Durham, North Carolina but to the type of player that Duke has historically recruited.
