Arterio Morris arrested, charged with rape, dismissed from Kansas basketball team
Kansas men's basketball guard Arterio Morris was arrested and charged Friday with one count of rape, according to Douglas County (Kan.) District Court online records.
KU has dismissed Morris from the basketball program, according to multiple reports.
The rape charge stems from an incident on Aug. 26, according to the complaint.
Morris, 20, committed to transfer to Kansas in April after spending one year at Texas. He recently entered a plea deal to end a misdemeanor assault case in Texas, according to the Associated Press.
Morris, a former McDonald's All-American, played in 38 games for the Longhorns during the 2022-23 season before transferring.
