Was there any internal discussion about using the Ferrell Center for larger games like KU/Texas/Arizona, etc?

I know we want to be all-in on Foster, but there are some teams that use two facilities depending on the size of the matchup and anticipated crowd. I know Gonzaga and UConn both do it.

No

Ferrell is a "special events venue", not a basketball arena.

Foster was built to give us a home court advantage when we play teams like Kansas.

Hell no. Ferrel is the worst basketball venue in the Big 12. Glad we will be done with it

Why would we go from a nice, newest facility in the big 12 to the Ferrell for big games?

We hosted Arizona 4 or 5 years ago at the Ferrell. I don't remember that game being a sellout. I remember lots of empty seats on TV that day. But maybe I'm confusing with another game.

Football was playing OU in the 2019 B12 Championship game in Arlington at the same time as that bball game and that's understandably where a lot our fans were. When playing Arizona becomes a conference game and if we're both challenging for the conference title I'm sure it will be a very different story.

Yes! That's it, JB. I remembered the empty seats but now that makes sense.

That game was at the exact same time as the football game in Arlington got the Big 12 title.

Some were saying there were more Arizona fans than Baylor. They were probably exaggerating. I wouldn't know. I was in Arlington.

During breaks, they showed the football game on the big screen & the opposing fans cheered for OU. The Baylor crowd did not take that well and the fans were more intense after. Baylor defeated them pretty solidly.
