Hey there Bear fans, I wanted to let folks here know that a buddy and I have launched our very own podcast the No Conference for Old Men Podcast! The name is an hommage to the great No Country for Old Men movie & a reference to the grind of a conference in the Big 12. The Podcast is just 2 old guys talking college hoops, granted focused on our Houston Cougars 1st, but we'll also be highlighting the Big 12 conference and 1 national big game each week throughout the season. Given how elite the Big 12 is in hoops, we both were surprised to see a lack of podcasts dedicated to highlighting this great conference, so we're giving a shot to providing the coverage the teams deserve.
This is not intended to be a money-making endeavor, it's more a labor of love for both of us. It's also something to keep our old brains fresh as we enter/near retirement! Our intent is to cover only men's hoops with a deeper perspective from both a coach's (my buddy) & analytics (me) view. 2nd episode is out with our preview of the Big 12, where your Bears are prominently covered. Our intent is to have weekly podcasts during the season & monthly ones during the offseason. For our 2nd episode out, must admit there are some rough patches where we need to improve on. But hopefully even in this episode you get a sense of what we're trying to provide here. We both would really appreciate it if you all can have a listen, follow/subscribe/download & support the efforts (please provide feedback as well).
