Ended up with section 206 row 9
they must have opened those up cuz those were gone earlier today. interesting.
Yep, those were not available early this morning.
what did those end up costing per seat? they were $600/$150 when i picked my seats monday and choose 205 row 5 for $400/75 each

If I remember correctly, you have it right. 206 was in the next tier above 205 ($600 vs $400), although the last few of rows in 206 may have been at the 400/75 pricepoint.

Lots of cat and mouse - the ugly truth of the ticketing world.
oh no, the entire section was always the same price. and they opened a bunch of seats in the last couple rows of a few corner sections like 25-30 mins ago at a lower price than those sections were originally and those seats werent even available to pick before this afternoon. not sure if they were blocked for some other reason or what. they are mostly all gone now
Yeah, they changed the $600/150 to $400/$150 in a number of the corner sections. However, there was an issue when you'd click the seats to your cart ringing up at the original price of $600. But the paid rate was still $400 each when it was said and done.

I'm sure there will be some people who were in the $600 range, feeling pissed right about now.
well im pissed. i would have gladly choose seats in 206 if i knew they were the same price as 205. plenty of bbf giving to cover the difference. and i know many others who would have taken seats in a different section such as that over the $400 seats they choose. this would have all been a non-issue if they priced the middle 200 level less than the 100 level seats and thus didnt push people who choose sooner than today to buy cheaper seats leaving only expensive seats left for the lowest donors to grab

I understand Surge Pricing, but not for something like this. Where the BBF makes a huge push for more $ in donations to get better seats and now you do this.

NW corner. He picked way after you and got one row closer in a similar section. I understand the frustration. I also got screwed.

im trying to understand what your comment was actually saying. but your other comment i think explains it.

but yea as i said a few times, this was self inflicted by pricing middle 3 sections at 750 and many people over the last week or so that selected grabbed cheaper seats. then the cheapest level went to pick today and nothing available except $750 seats really. it can be assumed many of those at the $400 level were people who had the GA seats in FC which were like $150 and maybe a $25 or $50 bbf if any at all. so for them to select seats, which they are essentially required to as we all have paid $400 per already, they would have to drastically increase bbf depending on amount of seats they had and pay a lot more in ticket costs. as in possibly thousand+ from what they paid in previous years.

if you set the minimum level at $400 donation, you need to expect most at that level are not gonna buy expensive tickets nor want or be able to donate more. plus not providing any information to season ticket holders about what each section will cost before we were required to set our donation level was terrible business. it not only left everybody in the dark but caused many to not donate more that would have had they known they likely needed to. assuming you picked today at the $400 level and were "forced" into the middle sections and had 2 seats, you would now need to up your level to $800. had you done that originally, you would have been at the $750-1499 bbf level and would have been able to pick seats tuesday and possibly got cheaper seats.

but what the **** do i know. just have an mba.....

i fully understand the frustrations of those picking today. But i also understand the frustrations of anybody who feels they were screwed via lower level donors getting similar or better seats at a lower cost, thus making your higher donation feel wasted.

I doubled my level this year to try and secure 100 level. i was unsuccessful and ended up on 200 level anyway. but that was fine as i made that choice. but had i known from the get go the amount of seats per section and the prices, i likely would have not increased due to being able to have a more clear understanding of what was likely. it did possibly help me secure my new fball seats this year due to pushing me up the seat upgrade line but idk if that was worth an extra $750 lol.

i also have a strong feeling renewals will be awful next year. even if we won a natty i think people will either have buyers remorse or realize they cant afford the new prices and either move down or not renew at all which hopefully opens up better seats for some of us. and i say a natty wouldnt matter as we won it in 21 and couldnt sell out most games the next season including the banner unvieling the night before ou fball nor the biggest non con we ever had in waco vs nova. all that to say, i dont think winning will be enough for some to pay these prices.
