I'm interested to see UMBC vs Louisville. If the Terriers can spring the upset, Lville fans will light that program fully on fire.

They lost to Bellarmine, Lipscomb, and, well, just about everyone else last year.

They already lost an exhibition to Kentucky Wesleyan this season.

Louisville survives, 94-93. Kenny Payne survives to keep his job for at least one more game.

There shooting never improved. 31% from the field and 24% from behind the arc. No doubt about effort though.

I only watched the KSU first half, but I wasn't super impressed with Tylor Perry (UNT transfer who is taking the Markquis Nowell role on offense). I know he finished with 22 points, but it was on 5-17 shooting, and he didn't look particularly impactful on either end of the floor.

It was only game 1, and it was against a high-caliber opponent. The lesson here probably is, it takes time to gel with a new squad, and we shouldn't expect a world-beating performance from RayJ Dennis or Jayden Nunn this evening.

Same here, Mitch. Perry is good, but he doesn't demonstrate the same level of quickness or ability to control the floor and pace of game that made Nowell so effective. Nowell's first step was so fast he created open lanes for passes, off ball movement by K State's other players and panicked double teams that allowed him to quickly distribute to Keyontae Johnson or Tomlin for easy inside baskets.
