It's shame that you don't realize Mack is an incredible AD. Look at his awards. Not to mention he could have left Baylor multiple times for higher prestige jobs. However, President Livingstone knows it. I can assure you he is not on the hot seat!

Why is he so good? Can't point to any program that has improved as a result of his leadership. If he left tomorrow, nobody would miss him.

He has ZERO to do with the success of Baylor Basketball (Men) and EVERYTHING to do with the failure of the football program. He caught lightning in a bottle with Rhule.....needed to recognize that Dave is not a fit and part ways....but No - we extend the guy....

You are an idiot. He got the extension because of the B12 championship. You don't part ways after success like that. It sucks CDA hasn't been able to come close to those results, but no one could have predicted the failures of this season and last before the extension was made. And Dave should be selling Life Insurance with Dykes as well. I would not have extended Dave after the Big12 Championship win - his name might have been in the mix for those jobs but those schools were not hiring him.Stefano DiMera said:

You would be one of the only AD's that fired a coach (that didn't break any rules) after a conference championship. Just 2 years after you hired the coach by the way. Idiot. You are using the benefit of hindsight to your advantage. No AD or school would have fired CDA after the conference championship year and almost all would have given an extension to CDA after that season.

This is total revisionist history to think that it was a dumb move to extend Aranda immediately following the greatest football season in Baylor history. Outside of his 14-0 national championship season with Cam Newton, Chizik's career head coach record was 24-38. Two years after the NC, he went 0-8 in the SEC. He's gone back to being Mack Brown's DC at UNC.

I don't think Mack's on the hot seat either. I'm guessing he has led all sports to performing spectacularly in off the field metrics…things like GPA, graduation rate, community service, student athlete satisfaction survey scores. Things us sports fans don't see.
Don't forget getting money from donors & construction of new facilities. In university administrations those are very important.

Mack's not improved any program. Football is a walking corpse, the coach is incapable of leading a P5 program
WBB is worse off thanks to Mack, even tho I like CNC, but we may never be a consistently great program again.
He hasn't messed with MBB so I guess you can give him credit for not blowing it up.
There's zero supporting evidence that Mack is a great or even good AD.
