Agreed, I wasn't aware of Auburn's style of play tbh. I was was surprised how touchy-grabby their defensive play was. Auburn's success will largely depend on what they are allowed to get away with defensively. So I expect a lot more similar statements from Pearl to try to influence officiating.

Yep - they finally started calling them in the 2nd half, but the number of uncalled Auburn fouls (especially in the lane) in the 1st half was ridiculous and was a big reason they went into the half up by 9.

Right? Literally, I don't think there was a possession when I didn't think a foul could have been called.

It's a style where the other coach thinks, "we are not as good but if we can push and shove and grab and get away with it we can bully ourselves into a win." It's nonsense and should not be tolerated by the refs.

Pearl is not alone with this approach.
