Top 5 games in Ferrell Center history?

Most of these will be Drew era obviously, but I would submit two priors: 2001 vs. #6 Kansas and 1990 vs. #3 Arkansas. Both massive upsets and I believe those were the two highest-ranked teams we beat in the Ferrell until Drew arrived.

The Quincy Acy 10 dunk game against Texas.
That Villanova game a couple years ago was amazing. Secured us the AP #1 ranking, Dick Vital, the Gains

1990 win over Ark -- no brainer. Jokerman got to storm the court that afternoon.
2019 19-pt comeback vs Shaka's Horns. (Not a huge win, but the circumstances were spectacular.)
2001 Big Monday win over Kansas. Showed us what could be.
Acy's game deserves high consideration.
Makai Mason's 40-pt game vs TCU
Macio Teague's 10-12 3-pointers vs TTech.
2019 19-pt comeback vs Shaka's Horns. (Not a huge win, but the circumstances were spectacular.)
2001 Big Monday win over Kansas. Showed us what could be.
Acy's game deserves high consideration.
Makai Mason's 40-pt game vs TCU
Macio Teague's 10-12 3-pointers vs TTech.
1998 vs Top 25 Ok State. Patrick Hunter hit an improbable floater for the win, almost at the buzzer. 2 or 3 OT. Bears were 5-0 in conference after.
2008 win over Top 25 KSU. I've never seen a duo like Beasley and Walker in this game, before or since. They combined for 75 and the rest of the team hardly scored. It was nuts. Big comeback by Baylor. Wildly entertaining game.

2022 Kansas game. Think it set the attendance record. Sideline reporter had a decibel meter that got way up there. Nice comeback after getting down early. Fun game.

game i saw in person that the ferrell was absolutely electric:
- in 2013 or 2014 we beat the s*hit out of a top 5 kansas team with ben mclemore and jeff withey. pierre jackson and i think cory jefferson went off.
- in 2014 or 2015 we smashed the hell out of ranked texas team. absolute butt-whooping by like 15-20 points. kenny chery, motley, and maybe royce o'neale dominated a texas team that was favored by 8+ points going in.
- 2018 we beat a top 5 or 10 tech team with jarrett culver. we had a guy named tj maston that exploded and went for 20+ while the rest of the team (lecomte, vital, clark, mcclure) did nothing.

I was a student worker (Event Staff) at the Ferrell Center for that 1990 Arkansas game. My ears are still ringing!

I stormed the court in the 1990 Arkansas game. So I'll say that.
We lost to Texas the previous Wednesday some crazy score like 95-91. We probably would have stormed the court then too.

If you include WBB, there are many other great games. One of my favorites was the January 2019 win over UConn, first ever win over #1.

I was fortunate to be at that Makai Mason 40 pt night (with 9 3 pointers!) over TCU. I was there earlier for WBB winning over Tech by about more points. That was total domination even more than the MBB game that night: Makai had 40 the team won 90-64. WBB win over Tech was 96-37.

2001 Terry Black vs KU. I was there. Electric from the tip.
I just re-watched this and although we won it was bittersweet to watch. We were in the driver's seat to repeat as national champs. Cryer, Sochan, and a prime EJ coming off the bench....are you kidding me!!??? We were so loaded. We had the best 8 man rotation in the nation but the Akinjo and EJ injuries devastated our season. Akinjo was so good before injured and playing the rest of the season hurt. EJ was such an elite defender able to switch and shut down guards on the perimeter. Thamba was a serviceable big, mobile and a very good defender before the weight gain that made him such a liability last year. Sad way to end his career.historian said:

I'll add the 2009 NIT win over Georgetown. The game was exciting and the crowd was electric, loudest I've ever heard at the Ferrell Center. First postseason win in over 50 years. We've come a long ways since then…
