Tonight was the first time I looked at Kelvin's schedule. He's gotta improve that dramatically. For the Big 12 to be successful, KU, Baylor, UH and Arizona need to be seen in big games during non-conference.

I tell you what, if Dantwan can give us some of the things Sean Jones gives Marquette in a supporting role I'll be very happy.

There is nothing worse in sports than in-game interviews. Please, just eliminate them.

They don't quite have Lightfoot, who was specifically at KU 12 years, but the Timberlake kid already played 5 years at Towson and is now year 6 at KU this year. He got a medical redshirt one of the years at Towson.

Self apparently going through the mid-life crisis again. Seems to have traded the toupee with graying streaks from last year for a new, younger, hip, completely brown with no silver toupee this year.

Old Jon, yes. I don't know if I want this Jon trying to guard the PNR against Harris and McCullar.

Marquette seems to send an automatic double at Dickinson. They've done a great job of recovering out of it. I don't trust our defense to do that yet.

Yeah, good point. PNR could cause issues. It will be interesting to see how we defend. Gut tells me Dickinson's knowledge of how to use his body and experience working the lane (along with the always favorable whistle at AFH) will get Missi and Josh O in foul trouble quickly.

I have to go to bed. Marquette is up 47-32 with 16:52 to go.

Kansas may come back and win this, but I go to bed very pleased at the realization KU is very beatable with well defined weaknesses and a big bag of nothing once you get past the starting 5. Bears just need to keep working harder and harder on D and keep gaining chemistry game after game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but have we not beaten Kansas several times in recent years partly because we won the turnover battle? I seem to remember that was the case for the win in Lawrence & at least 2 wins in Waco (natty team & the next year too).

Kansas is going to take its licks in the new Big XII.

Uconn and Marquette have looked better so far. Big East looks very strong. Still need to see more of AZ but so far Uconn looks the best from the "eye test." Not jump off the screen like early last year but just a complete team.

They have one the easiest conference schedules though. Bu I believe has the most difficult based on SOS.

That's another problem. When watching him, its not just that he can't move well.. he has a difficult time leaning on guys with any strength or leverage. Which makes sense because legs, knee, calf are engaged and help generate power to clear guys out. He's gotten pinned behind the basket many times so far this year when he used to clear space with ease.

In all seriousness, their nonconference schedule is a joke.

Their remaining opponents (besides those powerhouses mentioned above) are:

They'll probably roll into Big 12 play on the fringes of being ranked, and we still won't know a damn thing about them.

Amazing. I knew it was bad but didn't realize it was THAT bad! That's absolutely horrific. Unlike football, basketball schedules are made years in advance. Dixon knew he should have a good team. That's a schedule West Virginia or Oklahoma St should be playing.

I was bored and rewatched the first half of the Natty this morning. It truly is amazing how much movement and territory he covered against Timme. And of course Flo had the game of his career.

Agree. UConn has stood out each game I've watched them. Marquette looked great in the 2nd half against UCLA two nights ago and of course looked great last night. After seeing Tennessee again today, I just don't see how they would ever have the scoring to win 6 games and championship. That is one AWFUL shooting team.

I'm not sure what all it took for KU to convince Dickinson to select them, but whatever it was it was damn well worth it. McCullar, Harris and Adams are not leading KU to a long run in the NCAAs by themselves.

I don't remember them having this weak a bench. I expect to see some post graduate walk-on who is 6-6 and can make the corner three with his eyes closed.

I think they believed the 6th year transfer from Towson St was gonna be that dude because he shot better than 40% from 3 the past 2 years, but he's done nothing thus far but throw up bricks. This has to be the weakest bench they've had in quite some time.

Edey is just an extremely large (and tall) human.
