Crawfoso1973, I did play a bit of college basketball back in those 1973 days, not much and not all that well, but I played. I agree 100% with really everything you said about Lohner and Bonner too. I can see your opinions are knowledgeable and spot on. Of course Lohner and Bonner are great basketball players among the general populace and even college basketball. But at Baylor we are talking about the highest level, national championship division 1 caliber players.

Why do you think that non college basketball/tennis player Scott Drew told Bonner he might be need to transfer if he wanted to play? As you said, Dennis, Nunn, even Grimes are better in my view as well.

And yes, Vital was a bit of a unicorn. His "glue guy" status is still underrated. Guys like that are incredibly rare. Having said all that, I am extremely encouraged by Lohner's play overall compared to last year. I appreciate your insights.

"Bonner tried but just wasn't very good at basketball" dudes logging minutes on a P5 team and isn't very good at basketball. Incredible
He was a contributor for two top-20 Baylor teams and is currently the sixth man for a 6-1 Ohio State team. The Dale hate is weird.

Lohner is a 10-15 minute hustle guy, but he's become a good one. That's pretty dramatic improvement over last season's version, which wasn't even capable of handling that role.

I've been very pleased with Lohner's play this season. This is what I was hoping we'd get from him last year and he was unable to deliver.

100% agree Lohner is hugely improved relative to last year. And thanks for your kind words.

No hate from me if this was aimed at me. But Dale would be the #7 guard buried on the bench behind Grimes and Miro if he wouldn't have transferred.

Your opinion is that he would be the 7th guard. Nothing to support that

Dale would definitely be ahead of Little, who frankly isn't very good at this stage, and he would likely get minutes over Grimes as well.

He was better off transferring, and it's worked out for both parties. But Bonner is a quality Division I guard, who has proven his value for two different programs. He's a giant success story and should be hailed as such.

Dale would not be ahead of Little, in fact, that's probably why he transferred knowing Little and Grimes would be ahead of him in the rotation. So it was a win/win for both parties, Dale is getting the playing time at Ohio State which he would not have gotten here.

Little is already showing elite court vision and I am a big fan. Will need patience with him especially on the defensive end, but all the tools are there and he will continue getting opportunity from CSD.

Little may be a good pass-first point guard one day. He has a loooooonnnnnnnggggg way to go to get there.

He's barely even playable on this roster.

Grimes is better than Bonner in my view. Little is young and a much more valuable roster spot for development than using it on Bonner.

Agreed Grimes >>>>Bonner and not second-guessing CSD, but part of me wonders why Grimes didn't play last year because he was exactly what we would have needed with Flagler playing out of position and George ineffective at PG especially after his ankle injury. But maybe the Grimes we are seeing now is a result of the development he got last year in his redshirt year.
