Razorbacks had a huge lead And let Duke get back to a one possession game, but held Duke off 80-75.

Not helpful for when we play them next month, but you just play the games as they come.

I watched. That atmosphere got to Duke. It was... think opposite of our football games.

Arky would have beat pretty much anyone last night. They played amazing and Bud Walton is a true HC advantage. With that said there's definitely sone things our guards can exploit vs Duke. My biggest worry is our bigs trying to guard Filipowski. He's a load and draws tons of fouls

I watched the first half before I fell asleep.

Duke is a lot like KU in they've got a really solid big man, and no bench.

Arkansas' athleticism was a problem for them as Filipowski got in early foul trouble and Duke went to zone. KF still got 26 last night. They play a bunch of freshmen so they'll get better as the year goes.

I think our depth, guard play and rebounding will help us prevail.

Arky lost to NC-Greensboro at home and beat Duke at home. (And they beat Purdue in a very intense exhibition game that was sold out about a week before the season started)

College basketball is crazy.

Hog fans will be insufferable up here today.

Big day for them yesterday. They gave their old beloved football coach a second try... hint hint.

And a win over one of the most storied programs in basketball history.

They deserve it.

Watching Filipowski, I have on separate occasions seen him early in the game and thought, "Un-guardable, about to take over the game"-- except he never does. He will get his points, but he's not exactly Bucot rebounding wise.

He's averaging like 20/9. He's not Bacot rebounding (few are) but he can definitely rebound well. I respectfully disagree on his ability to take over games. He had like 24 2nd half points last night and was the only reason Duke stayed within striking distance.

Duke may shoot 85% from outside against us, but the three times I've watched them against quality opponents they were nothing but brick city from outside (other than Filipowski). I agree with VB's &IB's comments -- very similar to KU with a big man superstar and not a lot of other productive pieces. Maybe Roach if he's hot. I have no doubt after Duke's staff reviews the Florida tape they'll try to back us down in the paint and draw fouls.

I was amazed at how poorly Arkansas faired against Duke's full court press in the final minutes. Surely we have the guards that would break that pretty easily, don't we?

Not having Mark really hurt Arky against that press. I'd think between Dennis, Nunn, Walter, Bridges we should be able to handle their press (if they tried it)
I also wondered about putting Bridges on Filipowski and Missi on Mitchell. Really worried about a Missi getting in foul trouble. And snowy guarding Filipowski is a big yikes imo

Maybe I'm an old dude, but I don't get the court storming. By Arkansas. They've been to multiple Sweet 16s and Elite Eights over the past few years. And Duke had already lost a game this year and isn't head and shoulders above everyone else.

Would the Duke fans storm the court if they hosted Purdue next week and beat them? I don't think so.

I think you should storm the court/field if it's a major upset. But what do I know?

Like if your team was unranked and you just beat the #7 team in the country?

Wasn't really a huge upset though. Duke closed at -4.5. But I get your point. Arky team struggling a bit knock's off a very talented Duke squad

They were ranked ahead of us three weeks ago. They just hit a bad skid, losing 3 of 4. Those who really know the team didn't look at this as a David v Goliath scenario.

Look, I know it's fun for the kids, so really I don't care. I was just surprised.

I think it was just a really hyped up game on the Hogs side.

First time they'd ever hosted Duke. 30th anniversary of the championship game. Largest crowd in history. PA announcer said not to storm the court. Too late. They wanted to have fun after that abysmal football season.

I think that was the biggest reason. They, like us, really came into the football season thinking they had a competitive shot at a pretty good season and it was shambles, also like our's.

Many similarities for sure.

Then, their hoops team stumbled, and, on top of that, hit the injury bug early for the second straight year. They were jonesing for something to celebrate. Duke was the tonic. And we'll jump their ass in the polls.

Georgia Tech basically had the lead for 95% of the game.

I missed the injury -- knee? arm? back? foot?

Ankle I believe. Was on crutches in 2nd half. I suppose if it's a sprain he could be back for our game
