Usually they are. But they won the Big 12 title this year and have a real chance to play for a national title. We all should be prepared for the possibility that they will win it.

Umm, did we switch topic to football? If not, it's a long way before anyone is looking at a real chance to play for the NC, mbb speaking.

As for Football, Texas has a good team and it looks pretty even between them, Bama, and Michigan. I wouldn't bet on the whorns, though. Tough beating Bama/Saban twice in same year.

Yea, I goofed. There's no guarantee it will be Texas vs Bama again.

As for MBB, Texas will be good again but I don't expect them to do better in March than they have in the past few years. Just because Sark has figured some things out (which might not last long) doesn't mean their other programs have. No doubt NIL is a big part of their football resurgence but I doubt that explains it completely.

I accidentally posted on basketball thread when I was thinking football. Unfortunately, I'm serious. They could very win a natty this year. They certainly are in a better position than TCU was.

Don't be shocked if Washington beats them. They haven't seen anywhere near the skill talent this year that Wash will put on the field
