This was my first game watching the Foster on TV. Wow! It sounded deafening in there. The commentators were struggling to speak over the noise... love the intensity of the Foster!!

Someone said it was so loud at times you could hardly hear the announcers

I've been there for two games so far, one for MBB & one for WBB. It is awesome in person and it's great on TV too. IIRC, the announcers in every single game have commented on how loud it was. Even with my old speakers I can tell that it was really loud. It's a great home court advantage and will help us win some games. I think tonight was one of them.

To be honest, it may have been the key factor tonight. Well, that & Drew going to zone late.

The new shirts really stand out. That was another great move.

Baylor fan: "I just won the lottery".

Baylor fan: "Damn, it was only $1 million, I'm mad. Something needs to be done".

Ridiculous......

MUCH better on TV than the washed-out photo that we first saw.

I presume they have an incentive system to make sure students keep wearing them at the FP.

I have never seen a Baylor game sound so loud. And I've been to games where the crowd tried to be loud. We can debate the camera angle on another thread but the acoustics are AMAZING!

With classes starting next week the student section was full and much louder than the previous games. I hope next year they take out the student seats behind the benches and replace with bleacher seats so we can cram more kids in that section. Great game atmosphere EVERY night in Waco!

That was something I noticed too. Students should rarely if ever sit. If the do, a bench is fine. Save the nice seats for the boosters. Cram more folks into strategic locations

Yep my first game there tonight and it was deafening.

Anyone hear what happened to the game clock ribbon board? One side went out with about 4 min left. It looked like the broken test pattern when you drop a TV and crack the screen. Someone next to me thought the people on the row above it broke it by hitting it

Which side? I didn't notice but I'm in the corner between the band and the $$$ club seats.

Also we could get skinnier students.

Right below where camera well is. Opposite side of team benches .

It was just the portion of where the game clock was...the part with the scores and ads was fine.

Definitely. 30 waist size and smaller, check their pants before the game. Anyone larger gets sent to the top of the arena. Take out anything they could sit on, ensure standing the whole game. Place tacks on anything they could lean on. Allow each game to credit towards 1 chapel appearance. Decibel meters above the students, if they drop below 105 at any point they lose their chapel credit.

To me the crowd noise on TV rivaled what crowd noise sounds like from a televised game at Cameron Indoor or even Phog Allen. Definitely as loud or louder than any of the 10K plus sellouts we've ever had at the Ferrell.

I just hope after the new wears off at the Foster this continues as a tradition - even for the mid-week games against low profile opponents.

I can only imagine how loud it will be when Kansas or Texas come to the Foster! I can only dream of getting to those games.

I haven't looked at schedule to see who comes first but I imagine Tech and TCU atmosphere will be lit as the kids say.
