I wish him the best but it's sad that coaches were probably in his ear while he was at Baylor

It will be even sadder if he does end up in the Big 12 playing against Baylor.

Especially after Baylor and Drew took a chance on him.

That's the nature of the beast now. It was a big deal when John Lucas and Kenny Taylor transferred in conference after the Bliss scandal. Now it happens routinely.

K state or Houston seem very possible. Would fit either

Don't think it would be sad. He isn't very good.

I was consistently more impressed with Grimes than Little when the two would get their limited opportunities. Grimes has a much quicker first step and is a much more athletic defender.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Dantwan move on to have success elsewhere. I would have preferred to have kept him.

Dantwan showed glimpses of being a solid player. Maybe it's just me, but I think Little has a chance to be a good player. He looks like he could be really solid offensively. I don't think he's gotten enough time to showcase himself, but what I've seen from him as a true freshman seems like it could project well with added strength and experience.

Little already miles ahead of Grimes as far as basketball iq, feel for the game, and court vision. Since he is so much younger he has a much higher ceiling so you have to understand why the coaches were wanting to play him ahead of Grimes to get him more experience. You also have to understand why Grimes was probably bothered to get benched behind him. If Grimes was disgruntled was probably better for all parties for him to go

I'm just happy we might have him 2-4 years. If he stays that long, I could see him being a fan favorite.

I agree he will be a great ambassador for Baylor. I love his attitude and intangibles. On the court, I think an offseason of strength and conditioning will work wonders and he will come in much quicker and stronger next year.

Just my opinion on Grimes, which is not worth a lot.

I just don't see him as a Big 12 starter. I see him as a lot like Dale Bonner, a good role player who can contribute if he goes to another High Major program, but will remain a role player unless he develops his skillset beyond what he offers now.

I'm unsure the motivation for Bonner's transfer. It could have been that he just wanted to play closer to home and family. But if his motivation was to be a starter and gain more minutes, he should have transferred to a mid major where that had a much higher probability for achievement. Instead, he transferred into a similar situation and so he has started 0 games for Ohio State this year and is averaging 19.9 minutes a game, which is exactly 0.6 minutes a game more than he played for us last year (19.3).

I see a very similar path for Grimes if he elects to find a place with another Big 12 program or any High Major. I truly hope he assesses the situation closely, which in my opinion would be better to head the way of a mid major and much higher probability of starting and playing the kind of minutes he has said he wants.

I think Little has a chance to be a good player as well. I'm not trying to dog on him. But he's not exceptionally gifted physically. In fact, he's a pretty mediocre athlete by Big 12 standards.

I think he'll grow to be a good distributing point guard before his time at Baylor is done. But I liked Grimes' overall skill set better. I haven't been blown away by Little the way others seem to have been.

Little is a fine athlete but does need to gain in strength, conditioning, and quickness. Needs to shed a bit of baby fat. We have one of the best strength/conditioning programs over the past decade. Looking forward to what Melton does with Little this offseason.
