But but we don't miss Tang at all… at least that's what the expert posters on here want you to believe. He's now 3-0 against Drew….

Atrocious play at the end. Wow... terrible.

KSU throws in 2 unbelievable 3s at the end. And we are 5-26 from 3. We choked twice. Sick of this BS.

How many dunks did Missi miss today, 5? Hack a Shaq > how about some free throws?

I would not hesitate to bench both Walter and Missi and start Josh and Langston. Our two "one and done" players are killing us right now. Missi's basketball IQ is close to zero and Walter is such a defensive liability, especially when he cant score more than 8 points. Maybe they can provide a spark off the bench, but conference play is where you separate the men from the boys.

Dennis is not the point guard we need either. He frequently hogs the ball, and clearly he was shut down most of the night. A better guard would adjust or not be so limited.

I'd bench Nunn… Missi has been a non factor in B12 play

Dennis had eight assists to two turnovers tonight. The only thing he did poorly in this one was shoot, which happens.

Dennis came into tonight shooting 52.6 percent from the field, 40.9 from 3 and with a player efficiency rating over 20.

He ain't our problem.

I too graduated in 82…But I see things differently. Walter should have been in the game at the end of regulation and the start of overtime. I would like to see Little start.

Nunn's not a Big 12 caliber starter. And the freshmen are freshmen.

If Dennis or Love struggle, we're in trouble because no one else can be counted on consistently to show up.

Missi has done zilch in b12 play. And Walter is hit or Miss. that's why I routinely laugh at those who want our lineup entirely made up of freshman next year. That doesn't work in big time conferences

Drew usually does a offense/defense substitution with Walter and Nunn at the end of the game. No idea why he didn't do that at the end of regulation, except it would have required him to take a timeout with :13 left for a substitution. Not sure that would have been a bad idea unless he did not want to give KState the opportunity to set there defense. Regardless, I'd much rather have Jakobi taking that last shot than Nunn.

Nunn shouldn't get the minutes he did tonight. Brings nothing to either end of the court…

He's got 25 assists to eight turnovers in four games and has scored in double figures in three of the four. He's done his job, which is more than be said for anyone on our roster not named Langston Love, Josh Ojianwuna and Jalen Bridges (for the most part).

Credit Tang for scouting Dennis really well. He put the K State length at the top line and surrounded Dennis with traps. You could tell it frustrated him all night, resulting in one of his worst performances of the year.

Both teams did all they could to make sure the other team won. KS simply fell short of the goal at the end.

I've seen enough through four conference games (along with the higher end competition non-con games) to agree. Start Love and Josh O. Have Missi, Lohner, Little and Nunn (if it's to be a nine man rotation) coming off the bench.

It's not just the 4 conference games. He no showed against the P5 comp in the ooc as well. Missi has also struggled Mightily in conference. May not be a bad idea inserting both. But I doubt it happens

As poorly as the Bears played last night, make free throws and they probably win in regulation.

Didn't watch the game but see the result here. How do you lose like that up 5 with barely over a minute left. Just execute and you win 90% of the time. Need to get a road win like that.. needed that one badly. And why did Nunn foul up 1 in regulation? The lack of defensive fundamentals and awareness is wild.

The league is pretty tough but missing open looks and giving away sloppy possessions just isnt it. K state is not that special. I know coaches hate to do this, but this team needs a few practices on the most base fundamental reinforcement. Many of the best coaches do this from time to time even if it is perceived as "wasting" limited practice time.

Points well taken. However, if memory serves me right, Missi makes one of the two free throws at end of regulation we win?
IowaBear

Correct. He's been bad all of conference play aside from a few stretches. Unsure of his FT % but I'd be shocked if it's above 50% for the year.

Missi does need to sit and play off the bench sporadically. He looks like he'd be a player, but he ain't there yet.

And he's likely either gone to a team dumb enough to draft him or portal for lack of playing time plus looking at the class we have coming in anyway, so I am not sure experience is all that relevant,

Missi needs to quit trying to dunk everything. Just grab the ball and go back up with it...

It was maddening how many points he left in the floor through blown dunks, not to mention the bricks he threw up from the line. I know it's not as impressive looking to the scouts, but I'd a hundred times rather have the points from securing the ball and then going back up for what should be an easy layup.

I'd settle for passing it back out and resetting the offense. Missed putback dunks might as well be turnovers because they often create transition opportunities with our only rim protector under the opposite basket.

This…he was uncomfortable because he doesn't have the quickness or length to see over the taller defenders to make the pass out of the double team. There were 5-6 times that either Josh or Yves were open with the trap but he didn't get the ball out of his hands quick enough. I really like Dennis, but his physical limitations show up from time to time.
