That said, in the age of the portal, where everyone is discarding 3--7 players every year, it stands to reason there are going to be years when some teams are left with a bad set of cards.

A 30-point road win is always impressive. But K-State is a disaster right now.

This is two years in a row where Tang's teams have looked like ill-fitting messes. When you live by the portal exclusively, you often die by the portal.

Doubtful. He was just in the E8 two years ago. He also signed that huge contract extension. That said, things look pretty bleak in Manhattan

Just one's opinion but KSU has become entirely too reliant on the portal.
Tang struck gold with Nowell and Johnson . Those kind of heavy impact transfers don't exactly grow on trees
