How did Baylor possibly miss the opportunity to make an entrance look like a church?

Ya that would've been cool! It would match Mclane better but since Foster is the first of its kind you can expect these other schools to take our design and improve it. Personally, I find it flattering

Sports is the true religion at Bama, whereas BU, not so much?

Key takeaways from the article:

1) Construction costs have skyrocketed since this was originally announced a few years ago.
2) The new arena is smaller than their current one (Despite an increasing student body - I read another article that the student body of Alabama has doubled over the past 20+ years).
3) Even Alabama is having trouble raising funds for capital projects like this one. I understand it isn't football, but it's still the #2 sport.
4) The AD expects NIL money to divert money away from donations to the university directly.

I think #4 is the biggest takeaway, which I think we all already know. Since the NIL money isn't being generated by additional revenue to the people contributing to the NIL funds (like how typical NIL agreements work for professional athletes), the pie is only so big and the money has to come from somewhere. Less money will go directly to the universities from donations and the sustainability of the whole setup is questionable.
