For the season we are at 40% from 3 point range and have the 7th best 3pt percentage in the country. But, in conference play it's been a big issue in 4 of our 6 games.

Ok St 13%
BYU 44%
Cincy 25%
KSU 18%
UT 50%
TCU 23%

If we shoot closer to our average in the KSU and TCU games those are probably wins. I'm not sure why the 3 point percentage has dipped so much other than we are facing better competition than in non-con and not getting as good of looks. Seems like in a lot of games though we are clanging a lot of uncontested looks too.

When the shots aren't dropping you got to rely more on your defense...and that's usually not going to work out for us.

I said in the other thread that the huge offensive droughts, particularly against KSU and Texas, lost us those games. And the 3 pt shooting is a huge part of it.

Just grasping at straws for explanations, I was curious at first if the move to Foster (since we weren't practicing there) explained any of the struggles because the 5-22 against TCU was fresh on my mind and I also remember the clankers in the 5-20 game against UC. But, we hit 10-23 against BYU and as additional evidence it's not struggles with unfamiliarity with Foster we hit 14-31 against Cornell. So we're basically shooting 35.4% from 3 there.

The Kansas State and Texas games were not the same.

We played a good offensive game against Texas with one untimely extended drought. We were freaking awful on the offensive end all night in Manhattan.

The offense was solely to blame against Kansas State. The offense kept us in it at Texas and went cold at the wrong time.
