I've seen nothing but praise for the big 12 conference from most college basketball pundits. This is the first time I've seen someone questioning the strength of the conference.

I caught a lot of crap for saying I thought the Big XII had gamed the system.

These aren't baseless claims. I don't think the league is as good as it has been this season.

The reason? They haven't played anyone at all during the nonconference, beat the life out of teams ranked…

They posted a similar graphic on ESPN during the Houston/Texas game, however Baylor was around 80 on their listing.
Hard to understand how we would be that low with Mich St, Duke, Auburn, Florida, Seton Hall. I know it's just a metric so not biased at all, but I think Drew did a pretty admirable job getting some big name neutral site games. Would love to have a home away with Duke or UNC.

Here's another way to look at this. Conf records vs. other Power 6 leagues:

Big 12: 30-24 (55.6%)
Big East: 27-23 (54.0%)
SEC: 37-32 (53.6%)
ACC: 29-31 (48.3%)
Big Ten: 24-26 (48.0%)

I don't agree with his overall assessment. However, I mentioned this too back in December. Several B12 teams played absolute GARBAGE oOC schedules. Looking at you TCU, ISU, BYU, OU, Tech, and Houston.

"The Big 12 is overrated" is a debate that's happening today as people look at non-conference SOS.

Most of those teams were not ranked when we played them & some still are not ranked.

I'd like to see us play Purdue.
