I'd argue that the lack of mental toughness allowed Iowa State to go on a 20-0 run, and we had numerous untimely turnovers and missed free throws down the stretch ! Granted some of the ISU points during that run were due to the technical foul shots they were awarded.

I was about to start a similar thread. There are way too many officiating discussions going on simultaneously. Let's talk about basketball ... and the fact that our team is playing some pretty good/tough basketball after a rough stretch.

I'm proud of these guys. Myself and others have thrown the word "soft" around to describe this team and the way it has finished games in Big 12 play. No one could say it's been soft the last two games in two really tough situations.

UCF is a good team at home and we dominated them in the second half to score a big victory and then we overcame and excellent Iowa State team and some historically poor officiating to rally for a big one there.

These guys have responded really well to the three-game losing streak. Here's hoping that we'll see that same mentality the rest of Big 12 play. We'll likely find ourselves in the conference title mix at the end of the season if we do.

A big part of this is getting a W tomorrow night against Tech! I expect our players and fans will still be ramped up from Saturday's win and I anticipate a comfortable win against the Red Raiders.

Our next comfortable Big 12 win will be our first. But I will gladly welcome it, for sure. Something like the BYU or UCF game wouldn't bother me, where we just took control in the second half and slowly grinded them down.

I think they lacked mental toughness in that key stretch, but I'll also come out and argue that as recently as 2 weeks ago, they would have lost this same game by 8 points.

I don't disagree. Happy to see the Bears fight back and get the win. I expect to see one of their best efforts tonight as well.
