Not a chance. We don't smell blood when we get a lead. We let every decent team back into the game, even tonight. And then our guys make mental mistakes late in games and start bricking free throws. Love my Bears but I'll be shocked if we can make a run. Dont think we get out of the first weekendand I hope I'm way off.

This year more than any other I can remember in recent memory feels pretty wide open.

Feels like there are15 or so teams that could have a chance at the FF....we look to be one of them.

Not if we keep blowing double digit leads in the last 10 minutes of a game.
We maybe shot 50% from the line in the last three minutes of this one. Can't do that either in March and expect to play in April.

This year is going to be bracket busters galore, maybe more than any in recent memory. I could see us, along with about 20 other teams, getting blasted out in the first round or making a Final Four run. I just don't feel confident with any predictions at all this year.

Even Purdue and UConn, who've "separated" themselves as 1/2, are playing in meh basketball conferences and aren't all that battle-tested. And the #3, UNC, just lost on their home court to a really bad Clemson team. So yeah. I'd say we're as in it as anyone.

One thing you can always count on with Baylor fans - it's always the extremes. If we lose a game, we are the worst team in all of college basketball at every level. If we win one, we're on our way to the National Championship.

We've now passed Houston, Arizona and Wisconsin for the third-most QUAD 1 wins in the country.

In a normal year, I'd say this team has a Sweet 16 or Elite Eight ceiling. But this isn't a normal year.

And we're definitely getting better at the right time.

I've seen kids who were convinced they tore their ACL or broke their ankle come back into games a quarter later.

Let's wait until some actual information is available before we try to assess the severity of the injury or its impact on our season.

Can't afford an offense as ineptly stagnant as ours is for huge stretches of games when it comes tournament time. This team is really, REALLY hard to watch on offense when it goes in the tank like that. On the other hand, the defense can be a thing of beauty at times. At least when it's not blowing double digit leads, as it does on the daily.

I'm not saying this team can't put it together by then, it's flashed the potential. But its got to be way more consistent.

Ineptly stagnant? We're fourth in the nation and first in the Big 12 in offensive efficiency.

We have some issues with scoring droughts like every team does, but our fans often fail to appreciate how consistently good Scott Drew's teams are and have been on the offensive end of the floor.

Yes, it seems mist of the season our biggest problems have been on defenses but that has improved considerably over the past few games. Saturday will be a huge test.

Yes! But their not a lock like the 2021 team. They are good enough to win it all and have weaknesses that can see them bounced out of the Tournament in the first weekend. No team is a lock this year.
