We went a full season not knowing true status of Adam Flagler so might be the same strategy for Love?

It's pretty obvious he sprained his ankle. Not enough to require surgery, but he'll probably be out at least until next Saturday, if I had to bet.

We are still waiting on an official update on JTT's knee so...

The broadcast crew today said that LL warmed up before the WVU game. He did not warmup for OU, so this is a wonderful sign.

They thought he'd go but then realized it was wvu so why not get more healing in

watched him in warmups and was shocked he didn't play. I'd guess he's around 80-90%. But WV is weak Drew knew BU could beat them without LL I'm sure. Won't be shocked if he plays Tuesday. Also won't be shocked if they hold him out for Houston

My personal opinion (doesn't mean much), I think we would be better off holding him out as long as possible. If that means the Houston game or longer I am okay with that. Maybe the staff learned from Keyonte coming back too soon last year and playing on one leg down the stretch. The worst case scenario would be rushing him back too soon and having him reaggravate it or to come back too soon as a shell of himself. We need him 100% for the stretch run and tourney.

I'd play him as soon as possible (assuming he's 100% of course. He's gonna have some rust to knock off.
He's was moving around well during warm ups (jumping, running, cutting). Granted this was all being done in warm up speed not game speed.
It also depends on what the actual injury is. Not sure it's been disclosed?

Yeah I don't think it's been officially disclosed. But I'm pretty sure it was left ankle and not knee.

Yeah that's what it appears to be. Ankle sprains vary so it's hard to tell. But we've had some pretty fast recovering times with our g league guys here in DM.
Purely speculation but I'm guessing LL suffered a mild low ankle sprain. Those are typically 1-2 weeks depending on the athlete. He's at what 10 days ish? Will see him soon at 100%. Give him a game or 2 to knock the rust off and will see our very best version just in time for March

I've blown up my ankles three times from my 20's thru 30's. The first one took me about a year to feel like it was 100%, Second one about 6 months, and third one about 3 months. Though the third one was when I was oldest, I had good insurance then and was able to do a lot of PT. 1st was a hard cast, second two were soft casts. Doc told me the first time I would have been better off I just broke it I've had limited trust in my ankles ever since, and actually tore up a knee trying to save an ankle at one point (LL might have that thought in the back of his head due to his prior knee injury).. LL is a lot younger, and has access to exceptional PT, so he should have enough confidence in his ankle to be good-to-go in time for the Big XII tourney

Love coming back tomorrow (@BYU) would be very advantageous. Give him a game with house money to return...not sure we can beat UH without him. That gives him five games to get worked back into normalcy and keeps our outside shot at regular season title alive.

We miss you Langston!
