UConn is the only team I've seen who I think would run us out of the gym worse than Michigan St did unless we had that one magical game where everything is clicking (and that's always a possibility in a 1 game elimination tournament).

I think we could match up with anyone else from #2 through the rest.

IB -- any fear in Ames that Otzelberger and staff would take a B1G job if offered? I see he is already being mentioned as a possibility at Michigan and Indiana if either make a move. Of course, he may not be interested. Maybe he waits on Wisconsin one day?

UH had a wide open 3 with 55 seconds left to make it a 10 point lead. Clang the shot....ISU gets a bucket....and now it's just a 5 point lead at half.

Seems like everyone gets the intial shock of UH's physical defensive style, then recovers over the course of the remainder of the 1st half. Iowa St had already experienced it at home with UH, but it's probably even more intensive when you're playing them at Fertitta. I kinda wonder if we'll come out a little shocked Saturday during the initial minutes, and then stabilize and start playing our game. We really need the fans to bring it from the start Saturday.

They're a lot different on the road. Got into track meet in the game v Tex and their rotations fell apart at Ku. I think they can be got. Byu was made uncomfortable I agree but also missed a ton of wide open looks.

If we had a standout perimeter defender I'd be extremely confident.. but we don't. Still more worried about @Byu. We pull that off then we talk about taking this league

Winning tomorrow night would be HUGE!

Yves is due this time. Remember in his game at Foster, he got into foul trouble quickly and ended up with 0 points and 1 rebound. That was at the very start of the conference and before he started getting confidence. I think we are gonna see a big game from him tomorrow night. His athleticism is something BYU doesn't have on the interior.

Speaking of .. what network is our game on Saturday? I just saw something that wasn't sure was correct.

We're the CBS game this week. We didn't get Ian Eagle and Raftery though. We got Jim Spanarkel and......can't remember his partner.

Iowa St should be hot. They're being mauled. FTs should be relatively close.. not 10 differential

I don't agree they'll be allowed to hack away. I expect to be in the double bonus by 5 minute mark at an absolute minimum. I could be in denial though.

Yep. We're on CBS at 11 but you can also stream it from Paramount if you prefer that method. I think they've basically done that with all the CBS games this year.

I'd have to look at their conference box scores. But Houston's been allowed to be very very physical all throughout conference as far as I can remember.

This is just my opinion and my opinion only, but I think the easy non-conference schedule played mostly at home is gonna come back to bite UH in the NCAAs. They were basically allowed to play maul ball in the non-conference and throughout the Big 12. I think there is a high probability they run into a set of officials along the way that don't let them play that style. That is where I disagree with Fran. I don't think they can magically adjust for the first time that quickly.

This is where I feel like Kansas and Baylor have an advantage because we both played non-conference games against tough opponents where we had to adjust our games to fit the style of officiating being called.

Iowa St started out 1-7 from 3. They are now 6-13, including the wide open 3 they just buried.

That is exactly what we need Saturday. Ja'Kobe, Nunn and Bridges have gotta bury a high percentage of those open looks from 3.

This is devolving into a tackle game. A little out of control. A big 12 team is going to get clipped in the tourney with more controlled officiating. This is a little ridiculous

Part of me wants to play them in KC with better officials so we can hopefully get a double digit victory. That was taken from us in Waco due to terrible officiating.

Man their length at guard scares me..we've got to have some adjustments in the bag otherwise they'll swallow up our tiny guards of Dennis and Nunn.

Yep. Ball MUST move quickly against UH, which means those without the ball have to be moving at all times. You can't stand around and watch one of your guys dribbling into the traps.

Houston is small at guard. However, their athleticism (aside from LJ) is just straight ridiculous

Excellent coaching staff

Imagine these teams in the Duke game at the garden. Would have been 10 fouls at the 10 minute mark. Hard to win with every subsequent foul being two free throws.
