Stats look good, but in looking a bit closer, he might be a "good stats, bad team" guy. He feasted on the dregs of the WCC, but tended to disappear against the better teams. In 6 games versus San Francisco, St. Mary's, and Gonzaga, he averaged 10.3 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and shot 45.5% from 3, but he only took 11 threes over those 6 games (5 of which came in the first game against Gonzaga - he made 3 of them).

He did have a nice 25-8 game in a loss to Indiana State, who is a bubble team, but that was by far his best game against any team resembling a high major squad.

Was about to say the same thing. There's upside with him but only shot 46% from the floor and more turnovers than assist. and although 47% from 3 is crazy, it was on only 2.5 3's a game.

Yep. If he ended up here, I'd trust our staff's eval of him, but the numbers don't jump off the page as much when you dig a bit deeper.

From an athletic profile (size and role), this is the type of player we should be looking for in the portal, though.

Pepperdine must have had awful guard play. How does a team with this guy and Jevon Porter in its frontcourt go 13-20 in a mid-major conference?

Yes, if we can bring him in and develop him over the offseason, he fits the mold perfectly for a Bridges replacement at the 4.
