Why do they need help from officials? They get top players. You hear about this huge imbalance in fouls called at Fog Allen. Now we see it carrying over into the NCAAs. Friday night they had to be bailed out vs Sanford.

With all of the lengthy reviews that already take place during a game, they might as well add a coach's challenge during the final 5 minutes.

Why one wasn't in place to begin with, and it takes something like this to bring it to the forefront - is beyond me.

Not allowed to believe that a team regularly gets favored. That'd imply an agenda, which would then mean it's a conspiracy theory. So on this board you're only allowed to believe that It's just happen stance that a few teams are lucky with the refs bad calls.

lol they might get a home crowd foul here and there but let's be honest…you only notice "uncalled" or "cheap" fouls when it's a team you hate. They are in every game. I can't stand when people think Baylor gets some kinda of mistreatment game after game

Of course, always just happen stance and fan perception.

Just curious about your theory as to how this agenda or conspiracy is set up and who's behind it. Who's the puppeteer and are all the refs in on it? Is there not an honest ref in the bunch who would call it out?

Refs being intimidated by a home crowd? Ok. Big conspiracy? No.

Hundreds of millions involved with college basketball, that kind of money is always going to have manipulators. Believe what you want, believing it's clean makes you feel better, but really it's just naive to think that it's not being manipulated in favor of the money makers. It's human nature, been that way throughout history.

Just don't watch. It's bound to make you miserable.

The money people know all there is to know about the team, the coaches and the refs. Thats their edge. That's how they win. But it's way too risky to threaten or payoff people. They'll get caught sooner or later. It might very, very rarely happen. But it doesn't happen just because someone plays Kansas.

It doesn't make people miserable to know that some games winners had a bit of help. Like I said, it makes you feel good to believe that no games are manipulated. You're wrong, but I don't really care.

In other news, OUT just happened, ESPN wasn't having secret meetings with the schools reps because that would be wrong.

Most times when a team wins a very close game it gets "a bit of help" somewhere along the way. You're right about that (a bad call, or a dumb move by a player or a coach). But that doesn't create a conspiracy.

Sorry, but I never got fitted for my tin foil hat. Obviously, there may be exceptions to my naivety, but rarely in my opinion. We just think differently.

By the way Kansas is losing by 20+.

It's not exceptions, it's just reality, it's human nature. The money makers always attempt to influence outcomes so they make more money. Nobody is saying that it's every single game or any one team.

Take the NBA, the refs absolutely favor the star players. Star players on the court keep eyeballs on and keeps marketers happy. Been that way for a long long time. It's a conspiracy in your eyes, while common sense to any tinfoil hat paying attention.

But it's cool, It's OK that you buy into it, I don't. I'm happy to wear a tinfoil hat because I believe that "conspiracy theory" is a mislabel filled with emotion. I just believe it's the nature of the rich and powerful to "conspire" to get richer.
