MBB is a 20 game 5 home/5 road/5 both schedule.

WBB is an 18 game 6 home/6 road/3 both schedule.

Expect 2-3 conference games before/during the Christmas break, especially for the men.

Dumping the SEC/B12 Challenge opened up one game date.
That change means that they only need 1 extra game day for MBB.

Didn't we also lose the Big 12 / Big East challenge? If so, that frees up another day. I kind of wish we still had one of those power conference crossover events. It's a good way to build the schedule against quality teams & Baylor usually did well in those games. We had the best record in the SEC challenge compared to all teams in both conferences.

Hopefully, Drew can get some good ooc games this season vs Big 10, ACC, SEC, etc. UConn will be a great game.

No, we're playing UConn in the Big East Challenge.

and inasmuch as it falls in the first week of December, not a date "freed-up" for conference games anyway [due to the conference schedule date range].

Thanks. I had forgotten. Maybe this is the last year of the challenge.

More conference games is great. This will probably mean our non con will be like 11 games and with the exception of U Conn (and holiday tourney), I expect it to be very watered down. Hopefully we'll know more soon

I hope we have 1-2 additional quality games than just UConn & the tournament

We're hosting Sam Houston on Nov 12th. Other than the tourney and UCONN, I haven't heard of any other games announced.

Looks like we will play Gonzaga to open the season. That will be a great game.

Gonzaga game in Mexico. Somehow I missed that until this week.

The WBB non conference schedule just dropped. We might get the MBB schedule today or tomorrow!

It will probably be the toughest non-conference in the country

This shows Spokane; https://www.gonzagabulletin.com/sports/gonzaga-to-open-2024-25-season-against-baylor-at-spokane-arena/article_bd9ce592-76b1-11ef-9da3-0731c27970e4.html

First Vegas, Mexico? Hadn't heard that, now Spokane, not sure what to believe. On campus at Gonzaga would be the better option, but the Arena holds twice the crowd.

Here is more info:

Apparently there has been much discussion of venue but they finally settled on Spokane for logistical reasons.

If the game is played in Gonzaga's campus, there would not be an NIL component for both teams. $$$$$ talks.

100 percent. Just sucks that we couldn't do a true home and away. Now we will play in Dallas next year..assuming. Loss for college sports. Playing in college venues is what makes the sport great.

This will be the third time we have played them in Gonzaga's hometown since Drew has been here. Once in the larger Spokane Arena (Preseason NIT), once at The Kennel on campus and this year back to Spokane Arena.

They have played in Waco zero times. Dallas for the second time next year.

Maybe Few and the Zags are afraid to come to Waco. Maybe they should be considering what happened to them the last two times they played Baylor at a neutral site.

I just re as lazed that might sound very arrogant. I was just trying to be honest about how far Scott Drew has brought Baylor MBB. I suspect that the game in spoken will likely be a loss for Baylor because of their home advantage. I'm hoping I will be wrong.

Maybe we should go very retro, and have the game played in the HOT coliseum. Unfortunately, the game will probably be Dallas or Fort Worth.

Either is better than the west coast.

Next year's return matchup will be in Houston. It will not be in DFW.

That's fine. Lots of Baylor fans in Houston.
