At this point, no one would be surprised if the SEC puts several more teams into the NCAA tournament than any other conference. If that's occurs, the Big 12 will need a strong showing in that tournament in order to prove itself.

Michigan Tech (Division II ) beat Green Bay of the Horizon League 72-70. It was a road game, so they had a nice bus ride back home to Houghton, Michigan.

To be fair Gottlieb coaches Green Bay and he's like a part-time coach

It looks as if the ACC basketball teams are falling in line with their post season football results. The once premier conference in basketball has fallen into the 50-50 averages.

It's ridiculous to say something like that now. The season just began a few weeks ago and there are lots of games remaining. No one knows how many teams will get in. It's very unlikely the any conference will get 10 teams in.

Guess unlikely happened by a lot

Yep. It's insane that the SEC got that many in. Clearly there is a bias. Neither Texas nor OU have earned a spot and 4 others with conference records below .500 got in as well. They probably should not have. One of those is MSU.

Big 10 is 8-0
Big 12 is 6-2
SEC is 8-6 and that's before the remaining 8 knock themselves down even more playing each other.

Yep the SEC themselves has proved that they should not have 14 teams in the tournament. I firmly believe that no team with a conference record belie .500 should be in. They have 6. Of those 6, all but one lost their first game. Texas didn't even make it to the Round of 64. The one team that did win, Arkansas, will actually play in the Sweet 16. They are a Cinderella. It's strange that a Cinderella is coming from "the greatest conference ever"!
