They've lost 3 of their last 4. Guess he's fed up.

He's gonna have to look in the mirror a little bit also. He's been at UCLA since 2019 and these are the guys he has handpicked to bring in.

I lived in N. KY when he was at Cincinnati - He's a Grade A dirtbag. I don't care for UCLA so I'm happy for the lack of program success at the moment...

Not sure how this really helps your team. No idea how he is as a person, but watching his interactions with players on the sideline is cringe worthy. He thinks by being a giant ass@$/) he can gain respect. I know a lot us of complain about Drew being too easy on guys, and there is some truth to that, I would rather him be who he is than this clown.

To me it just looks like poor leadership. I would rather a coach protect his players when talking to the media and then chew them out in the locker room in private if needed.

I'm not going to say I always agree with Cronin's tactics, but the dude gets results. He's been successful everywhere he's ever coached, including UCLA, where he's led the Bruins to a Final Four and two Sweet 16's.

He's had a rough transition to the NIL era, but he knows what a successful team looks like. If he's calling out players and coaches, there's likely a good reason. And his diagnosis of the problem is probably right.

He needs to chill .

He had to sit out the season in 2014 with a ruptured aneurysm at 43.

If he has more energy than his assistant coaches..he needs to get new assistants.

JKā€¦ this type of talk needs to stay in house. This makes him look really bad. He recruited those players, and he recruited the coaches.

Most coaches say they shouldn't have to coach energy - there's a famous video of Auriemma saying that. I disagree, if that's what's lacking it's on the HC to get it done.

I have talked to guys who have been on staff in the program and I do not believe that anyone feels Scott Drew is "easy" on his guys. Loves his players and likes to have fun, but he coaches hard. Everyone I've talked to says Scott Drew is the most competitive person in the program, year in and year out. However, he doesn't feel the need to eviscerate his players on national television or in press conferences. Fully agree with you, would much rather he be viewed as soft than whatever Mick Cronin is.
