Vital was often a rebound machine but he didn't get 17 very often. TBH, I don't know if he ever did.

I cheated and looked it up. His career high was 16 which surprises me.

I was too lazy to look it up. That surprises me too but Mark Vital was so good at so many things, he didn't always need to rebound: blocks, steals, etc. He did it all. He was so much fun to watch!

Omier had 24 vs. Arlington Baptist a couple of weeks back. That was in a glorified exhibition, though.

I'm pretty sure Vital out rebounded Arizona's team when we went there maybe his sophomore year and I thought he was close to 20 rebounds that game but I guess it was around 15-16

Man, I love this!!! I have been as big of critic of Josh as about anyone. My daughter calls him "new Flo" because of my constant frustration of him having brick hands like Flo did. Last night was a special performance. He has always played his role, sometimes well sometimes not, but the capability is there, it's likely it's been more confidence than ability. I am sure we will see good and bad Josh the rest of the year, but zero chance we win this game without him.

We all know what Flo was...so I'll never die on a hill trying to defend him...but I've always thought some of the hate he receives is unwarranted. Flo had some dawg in him! That block on Kispert in the natty championship game was probably the biggest tone-setter of that entire game. One of my all time favorite plays.

Sure, the knock on Flo was that it was a 50/50 proposition if he'd decide to give that kind of effort. But if Josh O could play w/ that kind of aggression and anger...even just half the time...it could really elevate his game!

Great night for Josh O though. Happy to see it.

Probably Ft Hood. It's the closest base and we've played games there before. I'm not sure how many but it seems to me it was multiple. Drew must have a good relationship with the commander or some other bigwig.
