VJ has always had the talent, but now he's playing smarter, i.e., not as much like a freshman.

He is going to be phenomenal in the NBA, but it may take a couple of years.

He will be phenomenal in the NBA from day 1. His versatile game and freakish natural athleticism are ready-made for the NBA.

The floor being more spread, clean driving lanes, higher pace (transition), and regular season officiating completely opposite of the big 12 fit his game perfectly.

If he shoots as well as he is in conference he'll be an all star level player.

When Roach returns, our best three guard lineup is VJ, Wright, and Roach. I would move Nunn to our first guard off the bench for any of them. Drew has changed his offensive sets up to highlight some of VJ's strengths. I have liked what I have seen over the past few games. VJ has loads of upside for his future NBA team.

I think he'll be really good. He just needs to keep improving the shot (he's our best 3 pt shooter in conference) and most importantly.. develop a higher level handle (only real limitation right now and its getting better).

Nunn had already been coming in off the bench a couple of games prior to the Roach injury.
