Nice to hear but I'm not going all in on LL making it to March just yet.

Excellent news if true. But we've seen this story many a times. I'll believe it when I see it regarding Langston. VJ is a dawg I bet he's out there Saturday.

Strange messaging after the earlier drama. Hope he contacted Roach and said my bad, that was weak to include Roach.

For Love, no clue what's going on but I'll believe it when I see it. The messaging by the program and through "insiders" is so strange on this.

Part of this is the lack of transparency in injuries from Baylor MBB. I get the games being played but at some point you have to share the news IMO. Between LJ Cryer and Langston Love Baylor has had 4 years and approx 80 games of game day decisions.

Nice to be getting Love just in time for Valentine's Day.

Baylor, and the basketball program in particular appears to strictly adhere to guidelines about not sharing health information about a student athlete. This strict policy does at time seem extreme and sometimes works against the very athlete it is supposed to protect. Isaiah Austin received a fair amount of criticism during his time on campus in part because fans did not have an inkling of his physical problems. Also, fans who are accustomed to the required reporting of injuries in professional sports are surprised by the complete opposite in college sports. Aside from the season ending injury and/or surgery, everything less than that is often listed as a game day decision.

Would be nice to be able to win without having to play VJ and give him an extra couple of days to heal before UH Monday night in Houston.

Good point. Can you say "player is 100% healthy?" So if they don't play we know it was just their choice.

It's always a player's choice. "Clearance" generally deals with providing liability cover for the School, Doctors, Hospitals ,etc. I may be cleared to leave the Hospital, but that does not mean I am 100% healthy, it simply notes that as far as the organization or institution ascertains, the patient should be able to pursue normal activities, subject to guidelines from Doctors, and in accord with the patient's own good judgement. The complicating factor in today's world with athletes having multiple surgeries is that you have different Doctors saying different things: my decidedly non-athlete example is I have a bad knee...for which I consulted three Orthopedic Surgeons. The range of analysis was from, "not so bad" to "let's schedule the knee replacement." I would point out these are 3 respected and extremely successful men, though the guy pushing the replacement had a really impressive waiting area. All this to say: finding out what is the right decision can be complicated for young athletes who may be getting a lot of contradicting advice with their athletic careers on the line. It appears that Scott Drew is trying, as patiently as he can, to get his players back on the court, while giving them as much slack as he can deal with the issues. Perhaps we should give them a little slack as well.

I have had many ankle sprains from mild to severe and everything in between. A one week ankle sprain is common and if they think he might play that's probably what he has. No matter the severity, they all hurt and cause initial wincing and limping. His limping last Saturday doesn't indicate the severity because he could put weight on it. If he couldn't, then that definitely would be severe. It's pretty much one week, two weeks, several weeks, or severe.

Fingers crossed it's a one week sprain.

Hopefully he can play to get rhythm but is limited to about 20-25 minutes. And then take a fully healthy squad to rise up and get a huge win Monday.

There's still time to turn this around with Wright, VJ, and Omier leading

Yep. Would be nice to only need him enough to get his rhythm back and then be able to sit with a big lead. UCF is hard to figure out. They look much better than advertised one game, then very marginal to weak the next. Hopefully they're on pace for the latter Saturday.
