When you have such a narrow skill set, you need to bring that skill consistently.
He's part of the reason I'm not giving Drew and staff a pass with the excuse "we didn't have enough money." We still had money when we brought him in instead of front court reserve. He was sold as a stretch 3 or 4 and he's been a streaky shooting guard his entire life. He was never gonna be an inside guy for us and we were full of guards. Plus, he was just another guard who couldn't play D very well.

Haven't had a good defensive guard since you know who. Loved the way that dude would meet the other team's guard at half court looking like he was ready to smack him around..

I still don't understand why there were any expectations for Nunn to be more than what he is right now. Nothing last year looked impressive in his game, he's a low talent guy we ended up with after swinging and missing on better players the year we recruited him

Agreed, but at the end of the day, Houston is just better than we are.

We need a real GM badly. The one we allegedly have ain't getting it done. Shockingly I learned tonight that North Carolina does not have a GM. Smart teams will start poaching assistant GMs from the NBA... not just some yokel who was the vice assistant to the assistant director for personnel operations.

It could have been closer than it was. But the biggest reason it's not is that we can't handle their intensity on defense and the offensive glass. That's something Houston brings every game.

I couldn't tell you what this Baylor team's identity is. Though in fairness, it never had enough games with a single rotation to build one.

Nunn is a career 40%+ 3pt shooter shooting well below that. He has made some clutch plays for us in his time. He isn't going to take a game over by himself but that isn't his role. Yes due to his career shooting % we expect a little more from him.

We has two chances to put some serious pressure on Houston in this second half, and Nunn missed a layup and Wright got his pocket picked from behind.

Those are plays you can't have when you're trying to fight your way back into a game.

He's a project. Every team has those guys. Our problem is that we don't have enough rotation guys in the front court.

We just beat UCF by almost 20 with this same roster. We'll overwhelm several of the bad teams remaining on our schedule. Houston is just really good.
